Poor Liam. He didn’t mean to cheat on his wife Hope with ex-wife Steffy, but he did — even though he felt he didn’t cheat first! The Bold and the Beautiful protagonist has really stepped in it this time!
The Bold and the Beautiful Polling
Do you still root for Liam (Scott Clifton) despite this recent misstep? Soap Hub posed this question to BB fans. Read on for the results!
You’re On Your Own, Pal
Not surprisingly, given recent events, 87% of you say it’s really hard to support Liam right now. If Stephanie Forrester (Susan Flannery) were still alive, she’d probably smack Liam a few times (as she’d done in the past) for screwing things up.
If only he’d barged into Thomas’s (Matthew Atkinson) apartment and confronted him as he was kissing his “wife,” Liam would have found out that Thomas was locking lips with the Hope mannequin and the guy would have gotten help earlier.
Now, not only has Liam betrayed Hope (Annika Noelle), he’s thrown a wrench into the developing romance between Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn (Tanner Novlan). However, we have no doubt that Clifton’s heartfelt portrayal of Liam will see him through this. He and Hope have survived so much, it’s possible that she will forgive him if and when he finds out. Time will tell.
He Can Do No Wrong
The other 13% of you are okay with Liam’s actions. You feel he can do no wrong. And let’s face it, other characters on BB have done harmful things unintentionally. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) read a fake email from Taylor (Hunter Tylo) giving him permission to make a baby with Morgan (Sarah Buxton). Quinn pushed Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) into the Seine, tried to break up Ridge and Brooke’s (Katherine Kelly Lang) marriage, and done a host of other manipulative things.
At the end of the day, Liam didn’t come from a place of being intentionally hurtful. As long as his wife believes that there’s (pun intended) “hope for the future.” Stay tuned. The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS. Check local listings for air times.
