The Bold and the Beautiful’s Sinn-ful storyline made for some fun, frustration, and drama the last few weeks. But, we have to wonder why the show took this dark path. What was the point if everyone’s lives didn’t fall apart and all we’re getting is a happy ending?

Bold and the Beautiful: Not Enough

Okay, yes, sure, B&B’s Queen Jacqueline MacInnes Wood took her maternity leave after welcoming her third son to her family, which meant Steffy Forrester Finnegan needed to take time off the canvas too. But, why like this? A double shooting, a fake death, Sheila Carter’s (Kimberlin Brown) suicide threat, and the mothers fighting. None of it makes sense if all roads lead to sunshine and roses. Was it all for…nothing…if we end up back exactly where we started?

It’s not like Finn had amnesia and fell in love with a nurse his mother hired on the down-low while trying to recover in a home. Or, Steffy made nice with another man while thinking her husband was dead. Nothing. Nada. Not even a tiny side plot to complicate their Bold and the Beautiful reunion. Heck, where was Dollar Bill Spencer (Don Diamond) making a “you’re the only woman I’ve ever loved” play?

If it was going to be all happy-good-times for this short storyline, then wouldn’t it have been more prudent to just send Steffy AND Dr. John ‘Finn’ Finnegan (Tanner Novlan) to Europe on Forrester International business?

Of course, there were some good points to this drama. Finn truly saw Sheila for who she really is, for instance. He kept that door open for way too long, with everyone warning him against his birth mother. At least he knows now and won’t bring her back into the family fold.

Will there be courtroom drama in the aftermath? We hope so — and not just for Sheila. We need to see Li Finnegan (Naomi Matsuda) pay for her crimes too. Bring on the fireworks because we certainly need them! Do you agree with us or do you have your own thoughts on this storyline? Let us know in the comments section below.
