The Bold and the Beautiful C&G News

Who’s coming and who’s going from The Bold and the Beautiful (BB)? Are any favorite performers from yesteryear returning to the daytime drama, this week, or in the near future?

Have any new actors or actresses been cast on the show in contract, recurring or day player roles? Are any well-remembered stars from other soaps, past or present, about to join Days of our Lives fold in surprise new parts? Here’s the latest casting news from the CBS soap.

The week of July 13, 2020

BB is back in production and has added two new leading men to the fold. The soap has opted to recast the role of Zende Forrester Dominguez, last played by Rome Flynn. Taking over the part will be Delon de Metz, who appeared as Sam Parker on the 2017 CBS series Zoo. Zende was last seen in 2017. At that point, he moved to Paris with his wife Nicole to tackle a job at Forrester International.

In addition, Tanner Novlan has been cast as Dr. John Finnegan, aka Finn. The character will be a love interest for Jacqueline MacInnes Wood’s Steffy.

Novlan, who has appeared in several Liberty Mutual commercials, also appeared on the series Mohawk Girls (as Midas, 2016-2017) and Roswell, New Mexico (as Gregory, 2020). The actor already had a connection to BB. He is the real-life husband of Kayla Ewell, who played Caitlin the soap.

The Bold and the Beautiful History

BB made its debut in 1987 and introduced glitz and glamour to daytime soap operas. It has outlasted other soaps to become a mainstay for many households. Needless to say, three decades of storylines have kept viewers locked in and wanting more.

From Stephanie’s (Susan Flannery) iron grip on her family to Sheila’s (Kimberlin Brown) evil schemes to the epic love story of Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) and Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), BB knows how to entertain and keep fans coming back for more. Sadly, times are shifting and daytime soap operas are shrinking.

Bringing the Drama

It is one of only four remaining soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include General Hospital (GH), Days of our Lives (DAYS), and The Young and the Restless (YR). BB airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for air times.
