Who’s coming and who’s going from the soap opera casts of The Bold and the Beautiful (BB), Days of our Lives (DAYS), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR)?
Soap Opera Casting For The Week of October 24, 2022
Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day-player roles.
General Hospital
Finally, all the talk about Elizabeth Webber’s (Rebecca Herbst) parents is about to go somewhere. General Hospital has cast the two characters, and they’ll begin airing on the soap opera later this month.
William Moses has been cast as Jeff Webber, Elizabeth’s dad. Moses starred in the film Mystic Pizza and also appeared as Cole Gioberti on Falcon Crest and as Special Agent Lanford on How to Get Away with Murder. The role of Jeff was originally played by Richard Dean Anderson from 1976 to 1981.
Meanwhile, Elizabeth’s mother, Carolyn, will be played by Denise Crosby. The actress is best known for her role as Lieutenant Tasha Yar on Star Trek: The Next Generation, Faye Richardson on Suits, and Deb on Ray Donovan. The character has never appeared on the show before.
The Young and the Restless
Natalie Morales took to Instagram to report that she’s wrapped up taping her recurring role on the soap opera as investigative reporter Talia Morgan on The Young and the Restless. The Talk co-host began airing back in August. No word yet as to when her last airdate will be.
James Hyde (ex-Sam, Passions; ex-Neil, Another World) has begun airing as Jeremy Stark. The character is someone from Diane’s (Susan Walters) past.

The Bold and the Beautiful
The soap world’s most popular kid is back on The Bold and the Beautiful scene this week. Henry Joseph Samiri returns as young Douglas Forrester on Wednesday, October 26, and Thursday, October 27.
Aaron D. Spears makes another appearance on the soap opera as Justin Barber. He airs on Friday, October 28.
Alexis Gaube pops back in as Petra on Friday, October 28. The Forrester Creations fashion model is a regular model on the game show, The Price Is Right.
Days of our Lives
Tanner Stine completed his first set of appearances as Joey Johnson on Days of our Lives. The character left Salem after his mother Kayla Brady Johnson (Mary Beth Evans) began recovering from toxic poisoning. However, Joey will be back in the upcoming months and will be featured prominently in storyline.
B&B is one of four soap operas currently on the air. The other three daytime dramas include Days of our Lives (DOOL), General Hospital (GH), and The Young and the Restless (YR). The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
