Soap Opera Casting For The Week Of November 29, 2021

Here’s a list of the top exit and entrance news from all four daytime dramas. Find out if any of your favorite performers from yesteryear are returning to the shows you follow, or if any new actors or actresses have been cast in contract, recurring, or day player roles.

General Hospital

General Hospital has lost yet another leading man. On the heels of Ingo Rademacher’s departure as Jasper “Jax” Jacks, comes word that Steve Burton is out as Jason Morgan. The actor, who made his last appearance on November 19, refused to comply with the show’s Covid-19 vaccination mandate. The character has been presumed dead, after a cave collapse in Greece.

John J. York is set to make an appearance as Mac Scorpio. Look for the character to deliver difficult news to a colleague in Port Charles.

The Young and the Restless

On The Young and the Restless front, Conner Floyd makes his daytime debut as Philip “Chance” Chancellor IV, this week. The character, previously played by Donny Boaz, made his last appearance on February 1.

Jess Walton is returning for another run as Jill Abbott. She’ll appear in scenes with Jason Thompson’s Billy Abbott and Christel Khalil’s Lily Winters.

Also mixed up in the jailbreak will be Christopher Matthew, who is playing a prison employee. He’ll appear opposite the aforementioned McLean on the soap opera.
