The Bold and the Beautiful Star Katherine Kelly Lang Marks A Milestone

We’ve seen on soaps many, many times toddlers age into angst-ridden teens overnight. Fortunately, for The Bold and the Beautiful star Katherine Kelly Lang, babies age at a natural rate. Still, the passage of time does occur.

Katherine Kelly Lang – A Celebration

“Reign turned one yesterday!” Lang (who plays Brooke Logan Forrester) shared on Instagram. “Where has the time gone! He is the sweetest little guy. I just love spending time with the grandkids! Happy birthday Reign🎉🎉🎉 #lovehisgiggle #grandson.”

“We love you so much 👏❤️🙌 the best grandma and mother ever!” posted Zoe D’Andrea, Lang’s daughter and Reign’s mom. She’s also the mom of Lang’s first grandchild, Zuma, born in 2018.

Lang’s co-stars and pals from daytime also chimed in with well-wishes. Those folks include Don Diamont (Bill), Karla Mosley (ex-Maya; currently filling in for Mishael Morgan as Amanda on The Young and the Restless), and Tracey Bregman (Lauren, YR).

Longtime BB fans recall when the show started, Lang’s Brooke was a granddaughter. The Logan family’s beloved grand matriarch was Grandma Logan (played by the late Lesley Woods). Woods was known for many soap roles over the years including her brief but emotionally-packed lone appearance as Amanda, Jock Ewing’s (Jim Davis) institutionalized first wife on Dallas.

Grandma (Helen) Logan lived in her own apartment, but after she was robbed by a pair of criminals, the Logans invited her to live with them for her safety. She tearfully accepted. Helen was on the show for the first few years and then moved to Paris with Stephen (then Robert Pine) and Beth (Nancy Burnett) after the two reunited — a reconciliation engineered by Stephanie (Susan Flannery)! After an absence of over a decade on BB, Woods made a handful of appearances in 2001 when Brooke headed to the altar to marry Thorne (Winsor Harmon).

In 2003, Beth informed Brooke that Grandma Logan had passed away — the same year that Woods died in real life at the age of 92. The Bold and the Beautiful (BB) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
