Weekly Recap: March 16-20, 2026
Monday, March 16 – Episode #250
Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) hired one of the best wedding planners in the DMV, Bijou (Shaquita Smith), to help plan Eva (Ambyr Michelle) and Izaiah’s non-existent wedding. She met Bijou at the country club, where Madison (Kenjah), Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla), Kat (Colby Muhammad), and Dani (Karla Mosley) started planning for Chelsea and Madison’s actual wedding.
The group talked about a traditional versus a Boho wedding, and they came up with a place that could offer both options, all rolled into one. Unfortunately for them, Leslie eavesdropped on their conversation, took notes, and ordered her wedding planner to book everything and snag all the dates she could. That way, it would be impossible for Madison and Chelsea to have their perfect wedding. Yes, Leslie hijacked their dream wedding.
Meanwhile, Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley) and Kial (Greg Vaughan) locked horns over Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) in her hospital office. Kial especially took things too far, and Nicole told him she needed to process things and that she’d call him when she was ready, if she was ever ready.
Leslie headed over to Eva’s, where Izaiah (Lami) eventually had a chat with his girlfriend’s mother. He attempted to lay down some boundaries. She needed to stop pushing all this wedding stuff. She didn’t fill him in on the plans she already made. Elsewhere, Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) dreamt that Dani told her that Jacob (Jibre Hordges) was gone. But he assured his wife that he would be fine. Later, at the hospital, Naomi talked to Ashley (Jen Jacob) about her fears.
Tuesday, March 17 – Episode #251
Shanice’s Aunt Monica (Iona Morris Jackson) stopped by the hospital, flirted with Kial (who was having furniture delivered to his new place), had lunch with Shanice (Ernestina Johnson), and then had a showdown with Leslie.
Dani told Andre (Sean Freeman) she was up for inviting Ted (Keith D. Robinson) and Shanice over for dinner. She wanted to protect his relationship with his uncle, and she would put aside her negative feelings toward Ted. At Orphey Gene’s, Leslie needled Derek about his lack of work ethic. Meanwhile, he was on a lunch break. His run-in with Leslie caused him to text Eva and show her how much her mom was bothering him.
Chief of Staff Whitmore (Cecelia Specht) scolded Ashley regarding the disorganization at the nurses’ station, even though she was filling in for someone. Ashley didn’t rat anyone out, however. Eva begged her dad to talk to Leslie about the wedding pressure. Leslie later visited Ted and asked him to fire Eva so she would work at the free clinic. He refused.
Kat warned Izaiah about Leslie’s wedding shenanigans, but he didn’t take her warnings seriously. He then told Eva they would find a way around Leslie’s wedding schemes. Maybe have a party on one of the days and free up the other dates to give back to Chelsea. Kat and Dani bonded over Kat’s gossip that Izaiah and Eva weren’t engaged yet.
Wednesday, March 18 – Episode #252
Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) was summoned to Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon’s, where they talked about the construction. The Duprees thanked him for helping out. They don’t know how long the silence will last, but they were grateful for his help. After Vernon (Clifton Davis) left for Orphey Gene’s, Bill and Anita had an amazing conversation about her not letting cancer bully her into submission.
Bill talked about how he saw a flash of his mother in her, and that’s why he needed her to remember to keep fighting. His mom dealt with depression, and he saw her light dim over the years. He didn’t want that to happen to Anita.
At Orphey Gene’s, Leslie and Eva learned that construction on Leslie’s shouse stopped because they failed the inspection, and it was all over an inch of land. Leslie wasn’t having it. When Vernon arrived at the restaurant, the former senator made sure Leslie knew he was responsible for this shutdown.
Kat spoke with Kial at Orphey Gene’s. She grilled him, wanting to know his intentions. She liked what she heard. After the chat, Kial went over to Nicole’s office, where he apologized for his immature behavior. And he said he wasn’t used to fighting for a woman. The two made up, and he gave her a grand gesture. It was the key to his new place, no strings or conditions.
In other DMV news, Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) leaned on Nicole for support. And Izaiah asked Joey (Jon Lindstrom) for his blessing to talk to Eva about their past association and current friendship. As Bill started walking out of Anita’s house, Kat arrived, and they hugged, concerned about Anita. And Anita called Monica, asking the renowned oncologist to consult on her case.
