Weekly Recap: March 30-April 3, 2026
Monday, March 30 – Episode #258
Hayley (Marquita Goings) didn’t like Tomas (Alex Alegria) flirting with Lynette (Dominique Madison), so she went into attack mode immediately. She thought he had an ulterior motive, so she tried to poison Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) against Tomas. And she told him that she had witnessed his junior partner getting too close to Lynette. She also encouraged Bill to cut the cord.
Bill was pissed but not ready to go that far. Tomas tried to plead his case, but didn’t get anywhere. Later, Lynette and Kat (Colby Muhammad) had words at Uptown, and none of those words were nice. But the experience left Kat even more suspicious of Lynette and Hayley. Smitty (Mike Manning), Martin (Brandon Claybon), Samantha (Najah Jackson), and Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller) tried to have pizza night, but everybody was distracted.
Meanwhile, Jacob (Jibre Hordges) and Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso) successfully completed another handoff, but not without some intrigue. Ashley (Jen Jacob) was in the elevator too. Grayson distracted her by kissing her. Later, Grayson let it slip to Jacob — in person — that his plasma ring contact was female. And Jacob then told Smitty about their latest lead.
Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) struggled with this separation from Jacob. Ashley ended up supporting her. The besties bonded over food and wine and opening up about their problems.
Tuesday, March 31 – Episode #259
Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) interacted with Tomas. Or she tried to, anyway. He waited impatiently until she left so he could continue searching for a new gig. Chelsea made nice with Hayley and talked to her about healing from the mugging. Elsewhere, Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) gave Ted (Keith D. Robinson) some of her homemade protein bars. He told her how much he appreciated it. And eventually he told her that he loved her. Shanice was stunned.
Dani (Karla Mosley) came home to Andre (Sean Freeman), who had returned from the photo shoot that had taken him out of town. He pampered her, gave her a massage, and then set up a tablet so they could watch Saturday morning cartoons. Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and Joey (Jon Lindstrom) talked about Deanna (Angela Fairley) and how she couldn’t accept Joey in Vanessa’s life.
Later, Vanessa and Donnell (Alex Cheeks) tricked Deanna into having a family meeting. Vanessa tried to explain her relationship with Joey. Chelsea inadvertently upset Kat when Kat tried to tell her cousin what Bill did to Tomas. Chelsea brought up Tomas’s past indiscretion with Eva (Ambyr Michelle). Bill turned to Joey for help in finding information on Lynette. Hayley caught Tomas looking for work.
Wednesday, April 1 – Episode #260
Eva showed up at the casino and wanted to talk to Joey about Izaiah (Lami) and Joey’s relationship back in the day. Joey was a mentor of sorts to Izaiah. Vanessa’s conversation with Deanna and Donnell continued. Deanna wanted to know when Joey started making her mom feel alive. But Vanessa didn’t fully come clean. She never said that she had started an affair with Joey BEFORE Doug (Jason Graham) had died.
Later, Joey went on a double date from hell with Vanessa, Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix), and Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley). The corrupt casino owner didn’t waste any time with pleasantries. Instead, he went on a tirade about the plastic surgery profession, of people who looked down on him as a person, and of Nicole’s family. Vanessa sat there and said nothing. Naomi and Kat talked at the country club. Kat told Naomi about Hayley attacking Tomas’s reputation and trying to get him fired. Naomi then held a past lie of Hayley’s over her head to get her to back off from Tomas. It had to do with the ultrasound she lied to Bill about.
Joey called up Hayley and summoned her to the casino. He told her about Bill’s request. That her husband wanted Joey to dig up info on Lynette. Hayley was good for now. Joey wasn’t going to blow up her life. But that could change at a whim.
Thursday, April 2 – Episode #261
Bill updated Dani on his future. He was going to leave his law firm to Naomi in the will. He would make more provisions for Chelsea and her business. And he decided to put Dani back in his will. He wasn’t leaving her money, however. He would leave her a piece of artwork featuring their kids that she had wanted, but he took it during the divorce.
The double date from hell continued to blow up. Carlton and Nicole ended up walking out. At her place, Carlton stepped into it with Nicole. He said all the right things until he ventured into dangerous territory. He mentioned that he liked her the way she was, before she started making all these changes to become a new version. Nicole didn’t appreciate it. Their evening ended on a sour note. And after Carlton left, Nicole finally used her key to Kial’s place. She surprised him in bed.
In private, Vanessa defended Nicole and Carlton, but ultimately, she doubled down on her relationship with Joey.
Elsewhere, Lynette realized that Hayley and Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) were conning Bill. And she wanted in. Lynette made sure to let Hayley know that it was better to include her in the con. A frustrated Hayley had no other choice. Kat told Tomas that she had words with Bill about what he and Hayley were doing to Tomas at work. Tomas didn’t appreciate it. He wanted to handle it himself. But he also told her that he had a good lead on a job.
Friday, April 3 – Episode #262
Home from the hospital, Anita (Tamara Tunie) decided she had the energy to celebrate Easter with the Duprees at the country club. It was a tradition, after all. After a tiny bit of coaxing, Vernon (Clifton Davis) got changed, and they went to join the family at the club. Vernon and Anita joined Dani, Andre, Naomi, and Chelsea. Nicole showed up with Kial (Greg Vaughan) instead of Carlton. So Kial got some serious face time with the Duprees. He had questions to answer. He also apologized to Andre about his behavior at the pickup game with Ted and Carlton. Kial doted on Nicole, and the family seemed to approve.
Also at Easter brunch were Bill and Hayley. While the Duprees were civil with Hayley, they all seemed to accept Bill and even took him aside at times to talk privately, something that frustrated Hayley. Anita also put Anastasia (Timeca Seretti) in her place. She didn’t even give her rival much time to talk. And it turned out that Vernon had invited Anita’s friend, THE Jennifer Holliday, to visit with Anita at brunch. The Tony and Grammy winner performed a song for the country club crowd.
Elsewhere, Jacob made an executive decision and moved the drop-off to the stairwell at Garland Memorial. It was so he wouldn’t get recognized. The Chief of Staff, Dr. Lia Whitmore (Cecilia Specht), who’s also part of the plasma ring, spotted them in the stairwell. She scolded Grayson and threatened him. A struggling Naomi left the family brunch early and met up with Jacob at the same place they had met last time. They lamented that, even though they were together on Easter, they wouldn’t be able to celebrate their anniversary together the next day. And Ted tried to give Carlton advice about where he went wrong with Nicole.
