The cotillion has been a main topic ever since season two of Beyond the Gates began. And now it’s finally here. There will be dancing and drama as Samantha, Jessica, and Chessy make their debut. Here’s a breakdown of the spoilers for Tuesday, May 19.
Key Takeaways
- Samantha and Jessica finally make their cotillion debut amid rising emotions and family pressure.
- Nicole faces an unexpected emergency during the highly anticipated event.
- The plasma ring investigation explodes into chaos as the warehouse operation goes dangerously wrong.
The Teens Make Their Cotillion Debut
Samantha (Najah Jackson) and Jessica (Camryn Jade) finally make their cotillion debut. Samantha is coming into this historic social event in a very shaky place. For a long time, she was excited for the ball, but thanks to external forces known as the Belleclaires, her excitement has lessened. Her impostor syndrome is flaring. And she basically doesn’t want to let her family down.
Meanwhile, Jessica hasn’t seen the purpose of the cotillion. She has fought being a part of it every step of the way. She looks down on it because it caters to the rich and privileged. But now it’s going to be one of the last high school events where she and Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller) can be a couple, before they both go to college on different coasts.
Will Samantha have the cotillion of her dreams? Will Jessica gain a different perspective on this event? What kind of drama will go down at the debutante ball?
Nicole Deals with an Emergency
While Samantha and Jessica make their debut, Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) deals with an emergency. The psychiatrist made the choice to go date-free to the cotillion. So it’s most likely the emergency doesn’t have to do with her love life.
She has recently battled Anastasia Belleclaire (Timeca Seretti), the grandmother to Chessy (Madison Alsobrook), the debutante who has tried to bully Samantha. So maybe the emergency has to do with one of Anastasia’s schemes.
Another option is that Nicole has to track down Donnell (Alex Cheeks). In BTG’s weekly video preview, Samantha has no idea where her escort is. And that is concerning. What emergency will Nicole have to tackle?
The Plasma Ring Operation Goes Up in Smoke
Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso) apparently completes his assignment. That must mean he figures out how to set up plasma drops using the Phoenix Street free clinic. Good for him. There’s still the matter of Jacob’s investigation into the criminal plasma ring.
Both Jacob (Jibre Hordges) and Smitty (Mike Manning) felt that they were nearing the end of this operation. And the meeting at the warehouse was the key. Jacob called Elon (Malachi Malik), who is mobilizing the police to pounce on the plasma ring’s VIP once they get word from Jacob.
However, something goes wrong because the teaser uses the words “all hell breaks loose” and “warehouse” in the same sentence. And we also know that somebody is going to die this week. It very well could happen at the warehouse.
