Fast forward a few months, and after numerous chemo sessions, a tough and brutal infection where she almost gave up, Anita (Tamara Tunie) marks what could be her final chemo session ever.
She has known this day was coming, and now it’s here. This doesn’t mean her battle is over, however. She still has to find out her next steps in how to deal with the tumor now that it’s small enough to remove.
Stunning Admissions and Fierce Clashes
Anita’s milestone will undoubtedly bring joy to her family even as they deal with their own life issues. Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix, who marked the first anniversary of BTG with Karla Mosley) and Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley) are all good vibes right now. Nobody’s saying or doing anything wrong. They seem to be on the same page. Suddenly, she isn’t using that key to Kial’s new place. Not yet, anyway.
Meanwhile, Dani (Karla Mosley) and Andre (Sean Freeman) are solid, fantasizing about the different ways they meet cute and get together. Which kind of makes us feel like they would be a couple in any timeline. And now Dani will jet away with Andre to Korea and Tokyo. So things are good.

Ted (Keith D. Robinson) continues to work for Shanice’s trust and forgiveness. But she can’t do that. Not as long as it seems like he’s too tangled up in Leslie’s life. Ted’s relationship baggage is right there in their faces. And until he clears it up, there may not be any hope for Ted and Shanice (Ernestine Johnson).
However, what happens on Monday could change her mind. Look for Ted to clash with Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) over Shanice. Defending her isn’t enough. He needs to set the boundaries with her and be strong and definitive about it. There can’t be any wiggle room here. Will he succeed?
Naomi Demands Answers from her Husband
When Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) and Jacob (Jibre Hordges) reconnect on Monday, she doesn’t waste time. She knows some of the story about the plasma ring, but she certainly doesn’t know it all. And it won’t sit well with her. Look for her to pressure Jacob for intel. Let’s see how the detective responds when he’s on the other end of a grilling. After pressuring Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso) for answers for weeks, it’s his turn to pony up some intel for his wife.
Derek’s Apology is a Little Too Late and Maybe a Little Too Unnecessary
Finally, Derek (Ben Gavin) is apparently going to apologize to Ashley (Jen Jacob). Probably for digging in his heels when it comes to Grayson. He doesn’t like the guy and doesn’t think he’s good for his ex. But little does he know that Ashley and Grayson’s status has changed. Ashley might let Derek know that he can save his apologies for someone who needs them. That he was kind of right the whole time. Grayson’s nice, but he’s shady. And ultimately, he lied to her just like he did.
