Samantha’s big day is coming up. She has been excited about her debut at the annual cotillion for months. But she has also been hella nervous. One major source of annoyance throughout her journey to the historic event has been Anastasia Belleclaire (Timeca Seretti) and her granddaughter, Francesca “Chessy” Belleclaire (Madison Alsobrook).
Anastasia, the country club’s resident gossip queen, has set her sights on her granddaughter winning Platinum Deb, the highest honor a debutante at this event can receive. Anybody from the Dupree family will be in serious contention for the title, but Anastasia wants Chessy to bring it home for her family, and she’s willing to do anything to get it done, including going up against Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) and bullying Samantha (Najah Jackson).
But Samantha has Vanessa’s son, Donnell (Alex Cheeks), on her side, who will be visiting the DMV next week. Look for a surprising gesture to leave him emotional. In other news, Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon (Clifton Davis) discuss what’s next wth her oncologist. Mona (Karan Kendrick) and Randy (Maurice P.
