The upcoming week of Beyond the Gates isn’t going to hold back. The spoilers have a romantic and spicy vibe, and the sneak peek features a huge dose of drama and betrayal. Here’s your video preview for the week of October 13-17, which starts off huge.

Key Takeaways

  • Smitty surprises Martin with a heartfelt second proposal — but will Martin say yes in front of their kids?
  • Vanessa and Joey’s guilt-fueled tension erupts, and their secret dealings may finally come to light.
  • Dani’s kiss with Bill doesn’t go unnoticed, and Hayley’s reaction could ignite chaos for everyone.

So Nice They May Get Married Twice

Martin (Brandon Claybon) has been doing the work to get back in Smitty’s good graces. The husbands had been on the verge of separation, but last week, they experienced a breakthrough. One that is already paying off fabulously.

“Martin Richardson, will you marry me again?” Smitty (Mike Manning) asks while down on one knee, making this as proper a proposal as he can. Martin looks stunned in front of his and Smitty’s kids, Samantha (Najah Jackson) and Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller). Too stunned to give an answer? What will the congressman say? After all, this is the moment he has been waiting for.

Ice Cold Confrontation

While it’s all love and warmth between Martin, Smitty, and their family, it feels like things have cooled down considerably between Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom). Are you surprised? Vanessa is grieving her husband, who died tragically while driving drunk. It pretty much happened when she was in Puerto Rico, in bed, with Joey.

Guilt tends to ruin things. “This has to end, ” Joey says. What has to end? Their relationship? Their sarcastic arguments? How about their secret money-laundering venture? “Put a lid on the sardonic sarcasm, Joey, it’s really starting to piss me off. Where is this coming from all of a sudden?” Vanessa, who’s set to clash with Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) this week, isn’t taking anyone’s you-know-what this week. It sounds like Joey had better offer up a reasonable explanation.

Kissing Exes

Whoa — do Dani (Karla Mosley) and Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) kiss in his office again? That’s what this video preview seems to be showing us. This time around, Hayley (Marquita Goings) spies them doing it. And it’s safe to say that she won’t take this well. Let’s hope that this kiss was just in her imagination (but we don’t think it is).

“Bill thinks he can play me after everything I laid down? Nah!” What is Hayley looking to do? Should we expect chaos and destruction?

Make or Break Time

“It’s decision day in my relationship, too.” Okay, let’s unpack this. First of all, Dani said the word “too.” That means Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) and Jacob (Jibre Hordges) are probably deciding what to do with the pregnancy, right?

As for Dani, she did just give Andre (Sean Freeman) an out. Because she knows she has these lingering feelings for Bill, and they are no longer hiding their attraction for each other. They have kissed.

Cut to the final scene where Dani catches up with Andre. “I got your message. So, what did you decide?” Let’s remember Andre has Ashley (Jen Jacob) in the back of his mind. He is still into her, apparently. But he also enjoys the marriage he has with Dani. What will he tell his wifey? Is this the end of Dandre?
