Awkward Introductions
BTG’s weekly video preview gets off to a cringey start when Izaiah (David Lami Friebe) reconnects with Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) and introduces him to Hayley. “Been a long time, Izaiah,” Bill states. “Is Hayley your niece?” Izaiah asks. Bill manages to sidestep the awkward question and proudly responds, “Hayley’s my wife.”
Meanwhile, Hayley (Marquita Goings) doesn’t let this exchange bring her down, as she immediately sets her sights on Izaiah and makes her intentions known. Not to Elon’s son, however. “I’m on a side quest right now. Getting to know a certain police chief’s fit and fine youngest son,” Hayley probably tells her cousin Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) on the phone.
Secrets and Other Articulettes
In other BTG news, Vernon (Clifton Davis) and Sharon (Bonita Brisker) forget about hotel room hangs. This week, they’ll meet out in the open. “Look at you,” Sharon says with admiration. “We can’t let our meetings get back to Anita,” Vernon reminds the Articulette after sitting down at the table.
If he doesn’t want this particular meeting to get back to Anita, then why does it look like Vernon and Sharon are sharing space at what looks like Uptown? Sure, they are sitting in a booth in the back, but anybody in Vernon’s family could stumble upon this get-together.
Joey Says THE Three Words
At Joey’s casino, he and Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) are having a drink. We join them in mid-conversation when Vanessa says, “You’re addicted.” A grumbly Joey (Jon Lindstrom) utters, “If I didn’t love you…”
First, he sounds like he’s letting Vanessa have her way again. Second, he just admitted that he loved her. Somebody else must be in the room, because Vanessa asks somebody to repeat what Joey just said. This could be a big moment for the dangerous duo.
Honeymoon Time
And this definitely is a big moment for Dani (Karla Mosley) and Andre (Sean Freeman). They are ready to go to Los Angeles for the Forrester Creations photo shoot that Andre finally agreed to do. This trip is doubling as they’re honeymoon.
And the lovey-dovey pair looks close. They are practically in each other’s arms, and then Dani starts the all-important countdown. “And honeymoon begins in three…two…one…” And they lean in to kiss.
