Vanessa’s Daughter Returns to Fairmont Crest
“It’s nice to meet you,” Joey (Jon Lindstrom) says as he introduces himself to Vanessa’s daughter. Yes, Deanna McBride (newcomer Angela Fairley) finally graces Fairmont Crest with her presence. And she immediately chooses war when she yells at her mother in front of everyone at Uptown.
“This kind of man comes in here and dedicates a building to your dead husband and drops all that money,” Deanna loudly states. “Unless he’s getting something in return. Clearly, you’re serving it up.” Apparently, Donnell (Alex Cheeks) didn’t tell his sister much about the relationship between Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and Joey.
Deanna is grieving her dad, the late Doug McBride (Jason Graham). And unlike Donnell, it looks like she has a problem with her mom and her actions since her father’s death.
Getting Closer
Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) and Ted (Keith D. Robinson) look awfully comfortable together. “Those thought patterns look quite sexy on you, Dr. Richardson,” Shanice says as she compliments her man. “You know what else looks sexy on me? You,” Ted responds. If they are currently at the hospital, they may need to dial it back, or else BTG is about to turn into Grey’s Anatomy.
Very Important Phone Call
Meanwhile, Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso) answers his phone, and it’s Jacob (Jibre Hordges) who has something to say to the guy he now knows is involved in the plasma ring. “We need to talk,” Jacob starts. “And don’t say a single word about what you saw until we do,” he goes on to explain. Is Jacob making a mistake by calling Grayson? What if it’s the wrong move?
Sister Session
“A bunch of accomplished, sexy, glistening men battling it out over you. Isn’t that the hottest thing you’ve ever heard?” Dani (Karla Mosley) says to Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) in awe of her sissy’s current dating situation, which includes Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley) and Kial (Greg Vaughan). They are both hot doctors, and they both want Nicole’s attention.
Suspicious in the DMV
Finally, Joey pops back up at the end of the preview to take a meeting with Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett). The high-powered attorney wants to run something by the corrupt casino owner. “What’s on your mind?” asks Joey. “Is there something about Sammy and Hayley I should know?” Bill inquires.
