Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) and Hayley (Marquita Goings) are celebrating their first anniversary, and this milestone seems to trigger Bill’s need to be a dad all over again. “You think you’re ready to start trying for a baby again?” Bill gingerly asks.
Hayley probably wants to tell him that this is the last thing she’d ever want. But she’ll come up with a stalling tactic, or she’ll appease him and come up with a way to prevent a pregnancy from ever happening.
Battle Between Rivals
Leslie (Trisah Mann-Grant) has a name for Nicole 2.0 (Daphnée Duplaix). She calls her Nikki. And that’s who she’s about to see at Uptown after she sits down with besties Nicole and Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli). “Nikki came out the last time you goaded me to put my hands on you,” Nicole sneers. “You do remember how that ended.” Meanwhile, Leslie’s not looking bothered at all.
Anita’s Cancer Battle
Anita’s (Tamara Tunie) cancer journey continues, and she’s distraught. “I might not win my battle with cancer. I don’t know if I’m going to be able to handle this,” she says in an emotional state.
Anita’s strength may falter for the moment, but she will undoubtedly dig deep and find a way to make it through to the other side. She will use her own strength and her family’s strength. Next week’s teasers reveal that she will even lean on Ashley (Jen Jacob) for support. She’s got this.
Country Club Confrontation
Dani (Karla Mosley, who recently celebrated a BTG milestone) decides to pay a visit to Bill and Hayley’s table at the country club. She wants to wish them a happy anniversary and serve as a reminder of what happened when they tried to get married. “Happy Anniversary,” Dani says as she walks up to the table with Andre (Sean Freeman) in tow. “I would be remiss if I didn’t do something to commemorate this very notable occasion.”
