Noah Catches Deanna in the Middle of a “Private” Chat
Deanna (Angela Fairley) is, once again, talking to her late father, Doug (Jason Graham returns). Well, at the beginning of the promo, she’s listening to him. “Payback is long overdue,” Hallucination Doug says, to which Deanna replies, “I just need more time.”
Deanna is clearly grieving because she’s talking to this figment of her imagination outside, where anybody can see her. Kind of like what happens when Noah (Nick Hagelin) exits the restaurant bar. “Who are you talking to?” the musician asks. So it sounds like Deanna’s not done trying to break up Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and Joey (Jon Lindstrom).
Her plans have simply been on simmer.
Grayson Has Cause to Panic
Lia Whitmore’s (Cecelia Specht) death while in prison is causing angst and anxiety for Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso). So he, understandably, turns to Jacob (Jibre Hordges). “The Impaler could be tying up loose ends, which means I could be next.” The bartender-lab tech is probably wise to check out his options.
Anita Summons Leslie
Anita (Tamara Tunie) unexpectedly calls up Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant). “I need to see you. It’s about your mother.” This could be about the Articulettes returning to the studio to honor Leslie’s mother, Barbara.
Dani’s in Awe while Andre’s in Heather’s Hotel Room
Dani (Karla Mosley is at home when she picks up a loving note from her husband that says, “Had to go out. Be back soon, Love Andre.” Dani thinks that note is sweet. “Oh, my little romantic,” she coos.
Meanwhile, Andre (Sean Freeman) is with Heather (Ashley Jones). “What happened to your hand?” He asks. “Nothing important,” Heather responds, as we see her desperately self-harming to apparently get Andre’s attention.
“I know I’m a married man, but I don’t think I could ever stop caring about you,” he claims. We’re going to need a flashback to see exactly what happened between these two in London.
Heather isn’t the Only One Scheming and Manipulating
We see Hayley (Marquita Goings) microdosing Bill’s sandwich instead of his usual beverages. “I will be taking this,” Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) says as she grabs half of the sandwich and bites into it. “That sandwich is for Bill,” Hayley says, but her words don’t seem to work because we hear a thump.
Maybe Hayley wasn’t microdosing as much as giving Bill’s lunch a heavy pour. Will Naomi be okay?
Bill Puts Hayley to the Test
Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) knows that Hayley lied about going to the dentist. He saw her out with a man (Randy) at Uptown. Back at his office, he confronts her.
“Stop it. Stop. Stop right now. You stop playing in my face and stop insulting my intelligence. Damn it. Stop it!” Bill exclaims. He’s not happy. He doesn’t want everyone in his life to be right about Hayley. How will Hayley get out of this predicament?
