Next Week on Beyond the Gates: October 5-9, 2026
Izaiah and Kat Bond at the Banneker Homecoming Festivities
Izaiah and Kat’s friendship continues to develop next week on BTG when they both attend the Duprees’ Homecoming party. “Flying solo, today?” Izaiah (Lami) asks Kat (Colby Nixon). “Tomas is tied up in court,” Kat responds.
“Unfortunately, Eva is busy, too,” Izaiah explains. “You won’t even miss her,” Kat promises as we see them having fun and bonding. Their conversation seems to flow naturally and orgnically. Is Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) right about these two?
The Duprees Celebrate Joy, HBCUs, and Family Togetherness
Meanwhile, we’re about to get another one of Vernon’s (Clifton Davis) famous family speeches. This one’s for the Banneker Homecoming. Today is supposed to be joyous, a celebration of H.B.C.U excellence,” the Dupree patriarch states as we see the family and friends on a bus to Banneker singing the Banneker fight song.
Bill and Dani Are Too Close for Comfort
Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) is unsurprsingly appreciative of his first wife and everything Dani (Karla Mosley) did to save his life. Hence the close moment between the two in his law office. “Whatever my life is, from this point on, I owe it to you,” he tells her. Dani knows she is married, right?
Is a Reckoning Coming for Hayley and Randy?
Elsewhere, Joey’s had it. Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) was carjacked and he’s pretty sure Heather’s behind it. And Bill told him all about the leverage that Hayley (Marquita Goings, BTG’s September Performer of the Month) used as her get-out-jail-free card.
Joey (Jon Lindstrom) probably connects some dots, and realizes that Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) was telling the truth when he said that he and Hayley weren’t romantically involved. Maybe Joey guesses that his employee was involved in Hayley’s black widow operation.
“I’m not going to beg,” Randy says to his boss. “We’re long past begging, Randy,” says an unhappy Joey. And then the action cuts to a gun being pointed in Randy’s direction.
Finally, we see Hayley. She’s got new hair. And a whole new lease on life. Or so she thinks. “Not now, Leslie,” Hayley says frustrated over another call or text from her “friend.”
Suddenly, she’s grabbed. Will Randy and Hayley be okay? They have been messing with some powerful people for a while now. They honestly think that the people they screwed over won’t take matters into their own hands?
