Kicking off the video preview is a whole new Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix). The serious doctor must have learned a lot about herself when she went on the WinterFest blind date with Dr. Kial Rollins (Greg Vaughan). Because next week, Dr. Dupree is on another date, and it’s with Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley), who’s apparently back in town!
“Who is this fun, loving, adventuress?” Carlton asks in awe. “Nicole Dupree, Phase 2,” she boldly responds. It wasn’t too long ago that Nicole was busy licking the wounds she received from the disastrous end to her marriage. Now she’s dating two guys. Nicole’s finally healing and realizing she doesn’t always need to be stuffy and judgy. It’s time to have fun.
Hayley’s Past is Present
On the Friday, December 12, episode of BTG, Hayley (Marquita Goings) met Bill’s new client and had an immediate reaction. She clearly knew the woman who desperately needed legal help.
Her name was Lynette Wise (Dominique Madison), and on Monday, she and Hayley are out and about, probably reconnecting.
“I invited someone,” Hayley tells Lynette. “Randy?” Lynette responds, seeing Hayley’s cousin walking up to their table. “Long time no see,” Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) counters. So Lynette is well-versed enough in Hayley’s life to know Randy. Who is this woman to the cousins? What’s the connection?
Gossip Central
Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) isn’t one to gossip, except when she is (which is all the time). So, it’s no surprise to see that she divulges the ‘secret’ she thinks she has been holding on to for about two minutes. And Ted’s jaw drops at what he hears. “You’re saying Vernon Dupree had an affair,” Ted (Keith D. Robinson) inquires.
The plastic surgeon looks like he just found out aliens existed. Poor Ted. He was about to spit out who Vernon (Clifton Davis) was cheating on Anita with when the action cuts immediately to the Articulettes gathered at the Dupree headquarters, AKA Anita and Vernon’s mansion. “I came here to cheer you up. And here I am sticking my foot in my mouth,” Sharon (Bonita Brisker) admits to Anita (Tamara Tunie).
“No news there,” Anita quickly says with a tone that screams unhappiness and disappointment. Those two are always clashing.
Dani and Andre Live Their Bliss
Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) still can’t comprehend how Dani (Karla Mosley) has moved on with her young husband. “I’m surprised the honeymoon phase has lasted this long,” he says. Dani responds by telling her ex-husband that Andre (Sean Freeman) is “the real deal.”
The preview ends on a fun note at Dani and Andre’s house, gearing up for some quality honeymoon time. “So, why do you need me in your bedroom to help you with all the uh presents?” Andre somewhat innocently wants to know. “More along the lines of…unwrapping the presents,” Dani explains. After that, Dani and Andre can’t get to the bedroom quickly enough.
