Monday 10/19 (#392)
Ted (Keith D. Robinson) couldn’t keep his mouth shut with Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon (Clifton Davis), who were thrown by his unexpected updates. Not only did he tell them that he was getting married to Shanice (Ernestine Johnson). He even told them that Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) had given Kial (Greg Vaughan) the key to her house. Nicole fielded important questions from both Kat (Colby Nixon) and Anita. They were mostly about how she was doing in the face of Ted’s news, which included Ted looking for a house in Fairmont Crest, but only with Nicole’s approval. Meanwhile, summoned both Kat and Eva (Ambyr Michelle) to Orphey Gene’s. She asked them to put their feuding aside and call a truce. It was the only gift that she wanted for the wedding. When Ted arrived at the restaurant, Eva and Kat told him the good news. That they would call a truce for him. Ashley (Jen Jacob) and Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso) got extra affectionate at the hospital. They were in a good place and went on a date at Uptown, where Ashley interrogated Izaiah (Lami) about whether Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) knew about Ted and Shanice’s wedding.

Caroline (Ellie Wang) gave Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) a mysterious gift for his birthday. She said she couldn’t compete with the luxury car he gave her. But he begged to differ. He loved the boxing gloves she gave him, which helped show him that he was a fighter. That he was still Bill “The Hitter” Hamilton. Nicole and Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) talked about the Ted of it all. Meanwhile, Ted asked Shanice about moving to Fairmont Crest. She had reservations. Shanice didn’t want to be another Hayley Hamilton (Marquita Goings). She wanted to respect Nicole. Ted called up Nicole and asked if it would be okay for him to look for houses beyond the gates. She said she was okay with it and handed the phone to Vanessa so her bestie could get the commission. Also, Vanessa could make sure that whatever house she helped Ted find wouldn’t be anywhere near Nicole’s mansion. Vernon and Dani (Karla Mosley) had a meal at the country club. He assured her that he had the Hayley situation handled, and they talked about Nicole and Dani’s marriage to Andre. Hayley and Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) discussed Hayley’s future. She needed a new identity. She decided that her next con will involve a big-time Hollywood exec. Hayley shot down the identities Randy’s guy created for her, however.
Wednesday 10/21 (#394)
Smitty (Mike Manning) didn’t like that Martin (Brandon Claybon) wanted to stay home with him rather than face his constituents before the election. So Martin left and headed over to Caffeine Fix, where a woman told him how disappointed she was that he married a murderer. Thankfully for Martin, someone defended him against the woman. Meanwhile, at home, Smitty’s mother (Jennifer Van Horn) paid a surprise visit. She was worried about her son. Smitty’s dad couldn’t leave work to visit, which seemed to be an excuse he often gave, according to Smitty. Martin returned home and reconnected with his mother-in-law. Kat and Andre (Sean Freeman) talked at the country club. She opened up about having to work with Eva for her father’s wedding. They also chatted about Smitty’s case. She decided to turn to Izaiah for intel on the case, since Elon (Malachi Malik) was his dad. Pamela (Cady McClain) helped Dani prep for her big interview with Tia Allen (guest star Tabitha Brown). Dani later had to break it to Andre that not only did Tia want to do a photo shoot with the two of them, but Pamela also picked out his outfit. Andre was on board for a change. At Uptown, Izaiah and Eva celebrated their one-year anniversary of when they first met. Kat approached the table but backed off when Izaiah told her he and Eva were celebrating something special. Finally, Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) and Jacob (Jibre Hordges) tried to keep their home a safe space. But Jacob couldn’t do it. He was angry that Naomi continually asked him to compromise his beliefs. They talked it out, but it was unclear whether their issues were fully resolved.
Thursday 10/22 (#395)
The Duprees celebrated Dani’s life and career. She was the focus of an interview special. Tia Allen was the host, and what transpired was a “This is Your Life” type of format. To Dani’s surprise, her family joined her to talk about her and her career as a supermodel. So did Tatum Stewart (Milly Figuereo). The interview also featured a discussion of some of Dani’s obstacles. Unfortunately, the vibe veered into chaos when Kalista Kilroy (guest star Kandi Burruss) took a seat next to Dani. Kalista was Dani’s first modeling agent. Dani fired her, and Pamela became her agent. Kalista took the opportunity for a little payback and revealed that she had an affair with Bill back in the day, which understandably upset Dani, who wanted to walk away and end the interview right there. But she got back up there and finished it with class. Afteward, Bill tried to apologize to Dani. He said he never wanted her to be hurt like that. Andre, Pamela, and the Duprees supported Dani and celebrated the moment. Bill looked on from afar.
Friday 10/23 (#396)
Bill reflected on his past with his family when he sifted through photos on his laptop. Naomi walked in, and they talked about their respective relationships. She told him about her fight with Jacob. That she had apparently emasculated him for the past two years. But they talked it through, and they were back on track. Bill lamented how he treated Dani and even admitted that he was happy she was with someone like Andre, who worshiped the ground Dani walked on. He chalked up what Hayley did to him as payback for the years he treated Dani horribly. At the country club, Dani and Heather (Ashley Jones) chatted about Bill and Andre. Dani explained that Andre used to be a playboy, but those women from his past meant nothing now. He loved her, and they were it for each other. Heather imagined stabbing Dani in the heart. Vanessa joined Heather and Dani after spending time with Joey (Jon Lindstrom). Heather loved telling Vanessa that she was now part of Dani’s inner sanctum. At the hospital, Ted and Andre talked about planning Ted’s stag party. Andre also updated his uncle on what happened during the Tia Allen interview and Bill’s affair with Kalista back in the day. Over at the casino, Joey and Randy talked about Hayley. Joey continued to worry that Hayley’s leverage would be used against him. At Orphey Gene’s, Leslie made a brutal observation. She told Hayley that she had gained weight. After Hayley rushed to the bathroom to get sick, she took a pregnancy test. It was positive.
