Beyond the Gates spoilers for Monday, October 26, tease Jacob’s ongoing struggles to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Jacob is laser-focused on The Impaler investigation. And it doesn’t matter how many people in his life remind him to pay attention to his relationship with Naomi, he finds it difficult to tear himself away from work.
Key Takeaways
- Jacob’s obsession with The Impaler investigation continues to interfere with his marriage to Naomi.
- Hayley turns to Randy for help, while Naomi turns to Grayson.
- Ted and Shanice plan their future, while Heather and Joey’s conflict puts Vanessa in an awkward position.
Jacob Is Pulled in Two Different Directions
Jacob (Jibre Hordges) is super focused on his investigation into The Impaler’s identity, which also includes Lia Whitmore’s death. He already ruffled his family’s feathers when he arrested Smitty (Mike Manning) for possible drug-induced homicide.
It seems he really thinks that Smitty could have contributed to her death. Not intentionally. But he doesn’t think the video was deep-faked or that the pills were planted.
This case is taking up all of Jacob’s time, and as much as he and Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) are trying not to let it affect their marriage, it totally is. They are both having issues prioritizing their relationship. And this week is when their bond may start to suffer from the consequences of their busy careers.
On Monday, Jacob faces a struggle between work and family. Will he be able to course-correct before the damage is done?
Hayley’s Latest Crisis Sends Her Running to Randy
At the end of Friday’s episode, Hayley’s pregnancy test looked positive. And she wasn’t happy about it. As the drama continues next week, Hayley (Marquita Goings) begins to process this upsetting surprise, then does what she normally does. She turns to her cousin Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) for help.
What does she think Randy can do? Maybe he’ll help her realize the positive benefits of her pregnancy. She may not like kids. But she sure as heck could make this development work to her advantage.
Ted and Shanice Continue to Map Out Their Future
Naturally, Ted (Keith D. Robinson) and Shanice have been thinking about the future ever since they got engaged. They are full-force into their wedding planning. And they’re already looking for places in Fairmont Crest with Vanessa’s help. On Monday, they’ll continue to plan their next steps as a couple. Will this include talk about children?
In Other Fairmont Crest/DMV News
While Jacob struggles to maintain work-family balance, it looks like Naomi might be focusing on untangling Smitty from his mess. The Impaler, aka Heather (Ashley Jones), is framing him for Lia Whitmore’s death.
And who better to turn to than Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso)? He worked for Lia (Cecelia Specht) in the red market ring. And he also came across Smitty’s source, Max (Cris Ruiz), during that time.
Finally, Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) might want to make herself scarce anytime Joey (Jon Lindstrom) and Heather butt heads. The weekly teasers suggest that a conflict between Heather and Joey puts Vanessa in an uncomfortable place.
