Nicole has been spending so much time with Kial lately. But next week, Carlton reenters the picture. The new batch of Beyond the Gates spoilers features Nicole’s love life getting put on blast in front of Carlton. This leads Carlton and Nicole to come to a new understanding. Weekly Recap: July 27-31, 2026
Monday, July 27 – Episode #333
Andre (Sean Freeman) continued to wonder about the anonymous gift that Dani (Karla Mosley) received in the mail. Then Pamela (Cady McClain) called and summoned them to Uptown, where she gave Dani big news. Tia Allen wanted to interview her. It would also involve interviewing everybody in her life, which, once again, worried Andre. For some reason, Andre is all about his privacy.
Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and Heather (Ashley Jones) sussed each other out. Heather played coy before revealing who she was. Vanessa stayed suspicious, but invited Joey’s (Jon Lindstrom) sister to dinner. Unfortunately, Heather said she would have to take a rain check. She had to get back to London.
At the country club, Martin (Brandon Claybon) blew up at Anastasia (Timeca Seretti). Something she said triggered him, and he couldn’t help but think about what happened last summer — the traumatic experience he went through with Vernon (Clifton Davi). He apologized.
Later, Smitty (Mike Manning) and Martin played pickleball, and Smitty sprained his ankle. Kial (Greg Vaughan) rushed to Smitty’s aid. And they went to the hospital, so he could X-ray Smitty’s ankle. Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) was also at the hospital. She brought Ashley (Jen Jacob) a gift for being a good friend during Jacob’s (Jibre Hordges) absence and being a source of support regarding the BRCA gene test results.
Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) and Ted (Keith D. Robinson) talked about his relationship with Shanice (Ernestine Johnson). She said it was a little weird to know that he was in love with someone else. But she was happy for them. Ted crossed the line regarding Nicole’s love life. But she let him speak his mind. And he hyped up Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley) to her, even though it seemed like she was spending more time with Kial. Ted and Nicole decided to work on their friendship.
Tuesday, July 28 – Episode #334
Naomi and Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) met up at Uptown, where they discussed Chelsea’s rift with Kat (Colby Nixon) and Naomi’s issues with her mom over their differing views on the BRCA gene. Naomi told her sister that Dani had been giving her space. She was nervous about what would happen when they eventually talked again.
After Kat chatted with Deanna (Angela Fairley) at Orphey Gene’s, she joined Naomi and Chelsea. Naomi attempted to broker peace between the cousin-besties. It worked.
Nicole summoned Dani away from Andre. At the country club, Dani listened to Nicole talk to her about what Ted had said about Carlton. That basically, she had kicked Carlton to the curb. Dani noticed that she had been spending more time with Kial. But Nicole didn’t want to lead Carlton on.
As for Andre, he first stopped at Orphey Gene’s, where he had talked to Kat, before visiting Ted and Shanice at the hospital. On his mind was the interview with Tia Allen. He wanted no part of it, but Dani really wanted him to do it. It wasn’t a photo shoot like the Forrester gig she had turned down for them.
Ted felt that Andre could handle it. Meanwhile, Ted and Shanice revealed to Andre that they realized they loved each other. And they told him about the trip they were going on. Andre was happy for them.
After Eva’s physical therapy appointment with Shanice, she interviewed Kial’s son, Noah (Nick Hagelin), in Ted’s office. This was about the open general manager position at the Free Clinic. Noah admitted that his heart wasn’t totally into the job. He was a musician, after all. Eva (Ambyr Michelle) wanted someone committed, but once Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) hijacked the interview, she saw something different and hired Noah on the spot.
Izaiah (Lami) ran into Deanna at Orphey Gene’s. They know each other from Banneker. Later, he told Eva they were going out to the place where they had met, Uptown. Meanwhile, Noah ended up at Orphey Gene’s, where he and Deanna reconnected. He told her about his job at the free clinic, and Deanna told him the clinic was dedicated to her dad. And after Noah paid her the money he owed her with interest, he asked her out.
Leslie showed up at Nicole and Dani’s table, where she told Nicole she had hired Kial’s son to manage her clinic. And of course, she took some digs at Nicole’s messy love life. This time, Nicole battled back. She admitted to Leslie that Ted and Shanice were in love.
Wednesday, July 29 – Episode #335
After finishing her first radiation appointment, Anita (Tamara Tunie) was feeling good. And she was in the mood to party. The word spread that she wanted to meet up at Uptown for an impromptu family gathering.
Naomi, Chelsea, and Kat were already at Uptown, where they talked about Chelsea and Madison’s (Kenjah) wedding plans. Deanna and Noah arrived at Uptown for their date. Jacob was at Smitty’s place. Smitty revealed to his friend that his editor submitted his articles for a press award. Nicole and Dani were at the country club with Vanessa, Andre, and Kial. And Martin was at his grandparents’ house.
Meanwhile, Leslie stopped at Ted’s office at the hospital, where she confronted him about being in love with his little nurse-y. She wondered why he couldn’t see what was right in front of him. Ted had to be brutally up front with Leslie. He basically said it was never going to happen. He felt they were never in love and that what they had wasn’t real. It was convenient. Leslie was devastated.
Later, at the country club, she got into it with Vanessa, who didn’t join the Duprees at Uptown. Their conversation was tense and loaded. Vanessa told her to give up on a man who didn’t have feelings for her. Leslie refused to take Vanessa’s advice.
Elsewhere, Eva and Izaiah showed up at Uptown, unaware that all the Duprees would be there. They stuck around, to Kat’s frustration. Naomi and Dani had a talk. Dani offered her support to her daughter. Andre and Ashley connected. Andre was happy that Ashley found happiness with Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso), who was there tending bar. They were now officially boyfriend and girlfriend.
Smitty and Kat had an intense conversation as they compared notes about Lynette Wise (Dominique Madison). Kial spotted his son there with Deanna McBride. He wondered if he should be worried. Nicole told him that if Vanessa had been there, she would be wondering the same about Noah. Later, Anita thanked everybody for being there. She gave a toast. And then everybody danced. It was a joyous occasion.
Thursday, July 30 – Episode #336
Nicole and Kial were in bed when Dani showed up at their door and got an eyeful. Downstairs, Dani and Nicole talked about Kial and Carlton. And that maybe Nicole was more serious about Kial than she let on. After Kial left for the hospital, Dani asked Nicole for advice about how to handle her relationship with Naomi.
Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) continued to ignore his health even though he worried about his shaky hands. Hayley (Marquita Goings) suggested that they go to St. Bart’s, where she could take really good care of him. Unfortunately for her, Naomi and Chelsea surprised them at home. Bill’s daughters were worried about Bill’s health and wanted him to see Madison again. Hayley disagreed.
The tension between Hayley, Chelsea, and Naomi increased, leaving Bill stuck in the middle. However, Hayley’s clash with Naomi and Chelsea ended with her telling them to get out. The sisters couldn’t believe what they heard. But Bill backed up Hayley. And so Naomi and Chelsea left.
Martin and Kat actually had a brother-sister brunch at the country club. They talked about Kat’s conversation with Smitty at Uptown the night before. She couldn’t say much. They also chatted about their parents. And they both admitted that even though Ted and Nicole had moved on with other people, part of them hoped their parents would reunite.
At the hospital, Ashley and Shanice reveled in being in love. Ashley and Grayson made their relationship official. And Shanice and Ted were in love and headed to New York for vacation. Andre stopped by Ted’s again, and they discussed Ted’s upcoming vacation. Andre advised Ted on which champagne to use for a special dinner that the plastic surgeon was planning. It triggered Andre.
Martin showed up at the hospital and gave Kial tickets to a Washington Commanders game, a token of his thanks for taking care of Smitty. An awkward moment erupted when Shanice asked Kial if he and Nicole were in love. Ted and Andre overheard. Kial said that he and Nicole had a no-label rule.
At the country club, Kat, Chelsea, and Naomi compared notes about Hayley. Naomi finally revealed that Hayley had faked her ultrasound. They wondered whether Hayley was having an affair. Chelsea mentioned the intense conversation she saw between Hayley and Sammy.
That’s when Dani arrived and said that Sammy’s real name was Randy (Maurice P. Kerry). The women then filled Dani in on Bill taking Hayley’s side when she threw them out of his house. Dani wasn’t happy. Finally, Bill agreed to go to St. Bart’s, which made Hayley happy. But then he said they needed to talk about how she treated his daughters.
Friday, July 31 – Episode #337
With Naomi and Chelsea gone, Bill took the opportunity to tell Hayley that she had better never treat his daughters like that again. Hayley defended her actions. And then she suggested that his daughters needed to call or text before coming over, so she could make herself scarce and they could avoid any tense clashes like that again. Hayley then left in a huff.
Meanwhile, at the country club, Naomi and Chelsea begged Dani not to make things worse by confronting Bill. But Dani insisted. But she would keep Bill’s health in mind. Dani arrived at Bill’s all hot and bothered, and when she threw her purse on a chair, her sunglasses dropped out.
Dani assumed that he took Hayley’s side over their daughters. And that was unacceptable. Bill told her that his daughters were welcome wherever he was. They hashed things out and were on the same page. Naomi and Chelsea were priority number one.
Hayley met Randy at Uptown and told him what had transpired. Plus, she got another dose of the toxin from him. She felt this one would put them over the top, and it was perfect timing as they were about to head to St. Bart’s. Only one of them would return from this trip.
At the casino, Deanna showed up to talk to Vanessa. While she was there, Joey baited her about his business. He was ecstatic to be making so much money. And she couldn’t believe he was reveling in other people’s misery. She said he was cold-hearted, and Vanessa scolded her daughter. Deanna asked Joey to excuse her outburst and headed to Orphey Gene’s.
Naomi, Chelsea, and Kat continued to compare notes about Hayley at Naomi’s place. They zeroed in on the Randy of it all. But they were still thinking that they were having an affair. Later, after Kat left, Bill stopped by and told them about the compromise Hayley came up with. They weren’t happy, but Bill asked them to do him a solid, so that’s what they will do. They group hugged it out.
At Orphey Gene’s, Deanna spotted Randy and chatted with him for a while. Then she had a business meeting with Kat about her condo. Once it was done, Kat asked Deanna about the guy she was with. Deanna told her that was her dad’s old friend, Randy. Joey called Randy and told him that his special assignment to get close to Deanna was over. She was no threat.
Finally, Hayley got home, ready to make things up to Bill, and spotted Dani’s sunglasses. She texted Dani a pic of them. Dani, who was at the club with Vanessa, LOVED Hayley’s reaction to seeing her glasses in her home.
