Weekly Recap: February 2-6, 2026
Monday, February 2 – Episode #221
After Eva (Ambyr Michelle, who teases what’s ahead in season 2) misread the situation between Kat (Colby Muhammad) and Izaiah (Lami), Eva walked out and ran into Tomas (Alex Alegria) at the country club, where she vented to him. She also told him that she spotted Izaiah and Kat flirting. Back at Uptown, however, Izaiah defended Eva during a heated conversation with Kat. Later, Eva and Izaiah made their situationship more official. They were now boyfriend and girlfriend.
As for Kat and Tomas, Kat reassured her boyfriend that she was happy with him and not looking elsewhere. Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) offered Ashley (Jen Jacob) a position at her upcoming free clinic, but Ashley declined. Jan (Jerri Tubbs) suggested Leslie hire Derek (Ben Gavin). However, Leslie said no way, no how. Derek was always rude to her. Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) talked some sense into Derek. And Madison (Kenjah) asked Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) to move to Copenhagen with her so they could spend plenty of time together as she takes on her dream research fellowship.
Tuesday, February 3 – Episode #222
A distressed Anita (Tamara Tunie, BTG’s January Performer of the Month) confided in Dani (Karla Mosley). She told her daughter about her great evening with Vernon (Clifton Davis) and how things changed when she noticed her hair falling out. Dani recommended a bold course of action. Anita put herself in Dani’s capable hands. Anita later debuted her new short hairdo for Vernon. Speaking of Vernon, he warned Andre (Sean Freeman) about Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett). Andre is tired of Bill spending time with Dani, and Vernon told Andre that Bill admitted to him that he regretted his actions with Dani, including the divorce.
Bill and Hayley (Marquita Goings) headed to the hospital for a meeting with Madison (Kenjah) and his new neurologist. The second wave of results was the same as the first. His electrolytes were all over the place, and his carbon dioxide levels were low. The doctors suggested he start eliminating foods from his diet because it may be an allergy causing this weirdness. And they would continue exploring other ways to determine what’s going on with Bill’s levels. Meanwhile, Kat exploded after she learned that Chelsea had decided to move to Copenhagen with Madison.
Wednesday, February 4 – Episode #223
Chelsea visited her grandmother and was shocked when she saw Anita’s new hairstyle. Her reaction to the new look was positive, however. She also took the opportunity to tell Anita how she decided to move to Copenhagen with Madison. And while Anita didn’t love the news, she thought Chelsea should have a chance to live her own life.
She encouraged Chelsea to follow her heart. However, she did mention how one shouldn’t make changes they don’t want to make to please their significant other. Chelsea also talked about the move with Naomi (Arielle Prepetit), who was visiting Martin (Brandon Claybon). Later, Chelsea told Madison she couldn’t go because of what was going on with her family.
It was Caroline’s (Ellie Wang) birthday, and Bill gave her a big surprise — he bought her a car, for her loyalty and her discretion. Elsewhere, Hayley ran into Izaiah, and she shamelessly flirted with him. Izaiah made it clear that he wasn’t catching what Hayley was throwing at him. At Orphey Gene’s, Smitty (Mike Manning) met with his source. The guy was scared and wanted to stop being Smitty’s informant, but the journalist talked him out of it. And Dani admitted to Andre that she kissed Bill.
Thursday, February 5 – Episode #224
Dani explained the kiss with Bill to Andre. She got emotional, and the two seemed to work through this bump in the road. Meanwhile, Joey (Jon Lindstrom) finally had Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) over to his place for dinner and more. They even discussed the possibility of her moving in with him. Vanessa was all for it. Joey was hesitant. If she moved in, his enemies would know how much she meant to him. Danger would be a very real possibility.
In other news, Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) and Kial (Greg Vaughan) went on a date at Uptown. They spent a lot of their time kissing in the booth. At the restaurant/bar, they interacted with Shanice and Ted (Keith D. Robinson), who couldn’t believe it. Nicole was dating both Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley) and Kial. When both couples went to their respective corners, Ted couldn’t help but look over at Nicole (more than once). He wasn’t used to her new look. It annoyed Shanice. Later, in Ted’s hotel room, Shanice found the underwear Leslie had planted in Ted’s sofa cushions.
At the country club, Anita, Samantha (Najah Jackson), and Jessica (Camryn Jade) discussed the upcoming Cotillion. Jessica remained skeptical of the event. Anita and Anastasia locked horns. The country club’s biggest gossip tried to put Anita in her place, but Anita wouldn’t let her. However, it was clear that Anastasia (Timeca Seretti) would do whatever it took to ruin the Duprees’ Cotillion experience this year. At Orphey Gene’s, Mona (Karan Kendrick) thanked Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) for coming to Vanessa’s aid with her client’s husband. Randy played it down, but the two sparked.
Friday, February 6 – Episode #225
Chelsea and Madison got engaged. Chelsea set the mood with a romantic evening and then popped the question. After Madison expressed some issues, she got over them and told Chelsea she would marry her. Dani met Izaiah at Uptown, where he turned down her modeling offer. She later headed home, where Pamela (Cady McClain) and Andre brought up a potential dream modeling gig for Dani.
While Eva and Leslie dined at the country club, Eva let her mom know that she and Izaiah were officially a couple. Shanice walked out on Ted. She believed that Leslie planted her unmentionables in his sofa cushions. But she couldn’t get past his continually looking over at Nicole at Uptown. Ted confronted Leslie over the sneaky thing that she did. He loudly told her that he wanted nothing to do with her. Something tells us she didn’t believe him.
Meanwhile, Shanice and Derek commiserated over her relationship with Ted and Ashley’s dating Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso). Derek felt something was off with Grayson. He already told Ashley as much, and he reiterated it to Shanice. Derek insisted it had nothing to do with being jealous. He said something was off with the guy. Meanwhile, Ashley and Grayson were kissing at Ashley’s place when Grayson got a mysterious call and left immediately.
