Weekly Recap: February 9-13, 2026

Monday, February 9 – Episode #226
Dani (Karla Mosley) and Andre (Sean Freeman) are interrupted by two surprise guests — Pamela (Cady McClain) and Tatum Stewart (Milly Figuereo). Tatum wanted Dani to be the face of her new clothing line for mature women. She made the ask, but Dani didn’t give her an answer right away. Meanwhile, Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) shocked Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) with big news at the country club. She and Madison (Kenjah) got engaged. Bill’s reaction wasn’t what Chelsea expected. He thought that she was too young to get married, especially when Chelsea and Madison were just on the brink of a breakup.

Elsewhere, Lynette (Dominique Madison) implemented a new scheme that had Halyey (Marquita Goings) right where she wanted her. After reminiscing about their con-artist past and the chaos they created growing up, they also talked about how Hayley didn’t get enough attention from Bill. Outside Uptown, Lynette clocked Hayley and made sure there were no cameras to catch the fraud.

Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso) opened up to Ashley (Jen Jacob) about the mysterious call that caused him to leave when they were about to make love. He said it was his mother’s facility that called, and they told him that his mom had fallen. Jan (Jerri Tubbs) tried to broker peace between Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) and Derek (Ben Gavin). Jan felt Leslie should hire Derek for the free clinic. Leslie was hesitant to do so because Derek was always rude to her. Despite that, Jan tried to get Derek to see that this job could be his new purpose since he couldn’t be a firefighter again. He’ll work at Leslie’s clinic for a trial period to see if it works for both of them.

Tuesday, February 10 – Episode #227
After learning about Chelsea’s engagement, Bill hightailed it over to Dani’s. At first, Andre wouldn’t let Bill in — he tried to lay down some boundaries. However, Bill needed to talk about Chelsea, so they let him in. Bill spilled the beans on all of Chelsea’s news, spoiling the moment for Dani. Ultimately, Bill had issues with Chelsea’s decision about the wedding. Dani didn’t hold the same opinion. She was excited for her daughter and told her so after Bill left and Chelsea arrived.

Bill left when he found out Hayley was in the hospital due to a mugging. He raced to the hospital, where Ashley took care of Hayley. Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) was also there. They met Lynette, who was “shaken up” from the incident. After Bill arrived, he stuck to Hayley like glue. Hayley and Lynette’s plan worked. At Orphey Gene’s, Smitty (Mike Manning) and Jacob (Jibre Hordges) compared notes on the plasma ring. Jacob ended up going undercover, meeting someone from the plasma ring who wanted to see if he was up for something dangerous — a loyalty test.

Back at the diner, Smitty talked to June (Jasmine Burke), who knew all about the plasma ring. He didn’t get much out of her, however. She clammed up when it came to The Impaler. She warned him to watch himself. In other news, Madison and Chelsea told Vernon (Clifton Davis) and Anita (Tamara Tunie) about their engagement. However, Madison also announced that she turned down Copenhagen. Madison assured Chelsea she could find another opportunity closer to home. That this was what she wanted. Getting married and having a family were also dreams of hers

Wednesday, February 11 – Episode #228
Bill brought Hayley back to the hospital. His overprotective side felt there may be something wrong with her. Ashley took care of Hayley. Said there was nothing worrying other than the bruising on her face. No concussion or anything. Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) ran into Kial (Greg Vaughan) at the hospital, and they decided to head over to Uptown for an impromptu date. Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley) ran into them and didn’t like how cozy Kial and Nicole were. Nicole and Kial had a lot of fun. They talked, they drank, and they danced. And then they went back to her house, where they had sex.

Dani, Naomi, and Chelsea dined at the country club, where Chelsea worried about Madison’s decision to withdraw from the Copenhagen research fellowship. She didn’t want to turn out like her dad, who expected Dani to give up her modeling career. She didn’t want any resentments to erupt between them. Dani assured her that she never felt like giving up her career to raise her daughters was a sacrifice. But she wished there could have been a world where she could have done both. Anita and Vernon gave Samantha (Najah Jackson), Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller), and Jessica (Camryn Jade) a Cotillion lesson right there in their home. But at the country club, Anastasia (Timeca Siretti) and her granddaughter got into it with Dani. Dani wasn’t phased.

Thursday, February 12 – Episode #229
Leslie turned to Joey (Jon Lindstrom) about a personal matter. She had questions about Detective Marcel Malone (Darryl W. Handy), since they were getting close. Joey didn’t play along, however. At the country club, Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and Nicole met up and discussed their respective love lives. Nicole filled her bestie in on her and Kial running into Carlton at Uptown. And that he wasn’t too happy with what he witnessed. Meanwhile, she and Kial were on the same page.

Vanessa told Nicole that she needed to be who she wanted to be, this Nicole 2.0. She was honest about what she wanted and exploring this new side of herself. She shouldn’t feel bad about it. Nicole apologized to Vanessa for being judgey about her and Joey.

Ted (Keith D. Robinson) and Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) hashed out some of their issues. Ted told her about wanting to fight for her and how much she meant to him. And she loved everything he had to say. Hayley told Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) about the “mugging,” but he guessed it was all a ploy to get Bill’s attention and warned Hayley about Lynette. He said she was trouble. Nicole told Ted that he didn’t get to judge her now that she’s looking different and she’s dating more than one man at the same time. And Shanice put Carlton in his place.

Friday, February 13 – Episode #230
Dani told Pamela she wasn’t ready to face the press, who were invited over to her house to hear the announcement that she would be the spokesperson for Tatum Stewart’s new clothing line. She still had hesitations. She insisted she had time to leave and headed to her parents’ house, where she told them what was happening. And she got their thoughts. Of course, they wanted her to take on this challenge. They felt she was ready for this comeback. Later, she returned home and faced the reporters.

She announced on the livestream that she was jumping back into modeling as the face of Tatum Stewart’s new line. An antagonistic reporter called her out for being an aging woman in a world full of models decades younger than she was. But she handled the tough and unfair questions brilliantly and ended up shining. Nicole also showed up at her parents’ house needing reassurance. Her love life has become fodder for hospital gossip. Even the Chief of Staff — Dr. Lia Whitmiore (Cecelia Specht) — had noticed.

Kat (Colby Muhammad), who was at her grandparents’ house, got some quality one-on-one time with Vernon. She got his advice on living her life too safely. Lynette and Hayley talked Bill into securing a luxury hotel room for Lynette, where she could recover from their “ordeal.” Later, Lynette sounded as if she wanted to reunite with Randy, but he had no interest in her. Ted got Shanice a Valentine’s gift that she could wear out on their date. And Dr. Whitmore talked to Carlton about the romances at the hospital and how it wasn’t her problem until they affected patient care. So there may be problems in the future.
