This week on Beyond the Gates, Doug sees Vanessa and Joey flirting, Anita reconnects with her past, and Ted stops by Leslie’s place…again.
This Week on Beyond the Gates
Some serious sexual tension creates heat between Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and casino owner Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom). “What can I say?” the flirtatious real estate agent starts. “When I’m good, I’m great.” Joey takes over from there. “And when you’re bad, you’re better?
“You tell me,” the heiress continues. “Bad is definitely better,” Joey responds. The trouble is, right at that time, Doug (Jason Graham) walks into Orphey Gene’s and sees his wife flirting with the man who wants the money Doug owes him…sooner rather than later. Since the weekly teasers suggest that Doug begins to connect the dots about Joey’s “friendship” with his wife, he’s not going to be happy those two are growing closer and closer.

Meanwhile, Anita (Tamara Tunie) refreshes the memory of her former Articulettes group member when she tells her, “Don’t you remember the first rule of being an Articulette? You don’t flirt with your sister’s man.” And, no, Vernon (Clifton Davis) doesn’t get a say in it. So Tracy (Maria Howell) is a bit feisty when the two reconnect after decades of not talking to each other. Will this reunion prove successful? Will Tracy hold any grudges?
Up next, we hear Ashley (Jen Jacob) thanking Andre (Sean Freeman) and saying, “You’re a good friend.” The problem is that the two are hugging, and Derek (Ben Gavin) is at the door. And he doesn’t seem to be waiting to enter. Are Ashley and Derek in trouble? We wouldn’t be shocked, considering the two can barely stand living with each other. Lately, BTG has concentrated on Andre and Dani (Karla Mosley). Is there about to be a shift back to Andre and Ashley?
