This Week on Beyond the Gates
A voiceover helps provide intel on some of the upcoming week’s must-watch moments. “Can you believe what’s happening Beyond the Gates?”
First up, someone states, “Senator Richardson has a big secret.” It’s because of Martin’s (Brandon Claybon) big secret that the Duprees were forced to attend Bill’s (Timon Durrett) and Hayley’s (Marquita Goings) wedding.

“You need to be the first one to know,” Martin tells his mother. So how much are we about to learn about Nicole’s (Daphnée Duplaix) son?
BTG is only a week old, and Andre (Sean Freeman) has connected with Dani (Karla Mosley). Time will tell if they’ll reconnect. But it’s also clear that Andre has a thing for Ashley (Jen Jacob), the nurse, and Naomi’s (Arielle Prepetit) best friend. He flirts with her any chance he can despite the fact that she’s taken.
“Are you ever not actively flirting?” Ashley genuinely asks. She may have his number. “He is quite the player,” the voiceover adds. Tell us something we don’t know.

Finally, the voice says in awe, “Girl, this place is wild. Anything can happen.” Meanwhile, a quick montage rolls and includes snippets of Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) smiling, Andre and Dani together, Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon Dupree (Clifton Davis), Hayley at her wedding, Ashley at home, Dani and Nicole hugging.
According to the voiceover, “Anything can happen.” And that’s when we see Bill looking like he’s up to something. “It’s time for payback,” he says. Oh yeah, there’s no way he’s going to let the Duprees show up to his wedding in funeral black. And then there’s that matter of Dani and the gun.
