It’s a big and dramatic week ahead for Naomi, whose lawsuit against her father’s firm heats up on Beyond the Gates. The video preview for March 24-28 features Naomi gearing up for the big case and the obstacles already starting to get in her way. The rest of the promo touches on secrets and has a dark and mysterious vibe.
This Week on Beyond the Gates
It looks like Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) has accepted the case featuring three women who are suing one of Bill’s (Timon Kyle Durrett) employees, Mike Davis (Pierce Lackey), for sexual harassment. This means the lawsuit will pit father versus daughter. The road to the courtroom will be rocky.
Look for the ambitious attorney to get advice from her grandmother. “That strength runs in your veins,” Anita (Tamara Tunie) explains. “It’s in all Dupree women. We don’t back from a challenge.
Unfortunately, there will be opposition, which results in a long-awaited confrontation between Hayley (Marquita Goings) and Naomi. “What the hell do you think you’re doing?” Hayley asks emphatically. There is so much bad blood between the former besties, and it looks like it’s about to get worse.

Husband Drama
Martin’s controlling side is back. Has Smitty (Mike Manning) taken more steps to return to his investigative reporting career? Martin (Brandon Claybon) has already shown he’ll do anything to prevent that. “I think you’re underestimating them and how strong our family is to weather anything,” cautions the congressman.
Elsewhere, Vernon (Clifton Davis) summons someone, and from the tone of his voice, he means business. Is his grandson on the other end of the line? Because Vernon’s determined to keep all Dupree secrets just that — a secret. So, this run for president that Martin’s contemplating better not go anywhere.

Secrets and Shenanigans
Speaking of secrets, that’s the topic of discussion between Jacob (Jibre Hordges) and Naomi. “Some secrets deserve to be brought out into the light,” the detective tells his wife. Is he talking about her father having secrets or her family as a whole?
Meanwhile, Bill and Naomi are going head-to-head when Tomas (Alex Alegria) interrupts them. “I’m sorry, Bill. This can’t wait,” Tomas says. What’s the important news?
Finally, Kat (Colby Muhammad) can’t help but state the obvious, which causes Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) to eye-roll instantly. “The other half of your family just blew up,” Kat claims. Just how bad is the damage?
