If the video preview for Beyond the Gates is any indication, there is a lot happening this week. Let’s break down what’s happening from June 2 to 6.
This Week on Beyond the Gates
A healed Laura (Destiny Love) gets a warm surprise from Mona (Karan Kendrick), Kat (Colby Muhammad), and Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix). Does this mean she’s headed back to work as Nicole’s assistant? Let’s hope she can steer clear of Leslie Thomas/Sherry Carter/Nurse Lulu Lenhart (all Trisha Mann-Grant) this time around.
Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) gives Tomas (Alex Alegria) another order, and it doesn’t sound like he likes it. “You want me to spy on your family?” he asks his boss, who responds, “It’s my job as a father.” What does that mean? What information does Bill want his employee to drum up?

Meanwhile, Sharon (Bonita Brisker) and Anita (Tamara Tunie) get into it. And the tension escalates when Sharon threatens her former bandmate. “Maybe it’s time I let everybody in on the secret.” When Anita says, “You can take that and stick it where the sun don’t shine,” is she still talking to Sharon? If she is, then Sharon needs to weigh her next steps carefully, because there’s a good chance she’s about to deal with the Anita from back in the day, if you know what we mean.
It feels like Andre (Sean Freeman) is maturing, and he’s ready for more, and he basically tells Dani (Karla Mosley) as much. “I’m changing, Dani.” “Into what?” she asks. And herein lies the confusion. Andre responds, “Into a guy who’s ready to move on.” Is he ready to move on from Dani if she’s not willing to commit to something more? Or is he saying he wants to move on with her? Inquiring minds would like to know.

Ruh roh. Detective Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) shows up at Leslie’s with a warrant to search her place. Unfortunately, for him and Kat, he may not find anything because Eva (Ambyr Michelle) absconded with evidence that could implicate Leslie in Laura’s hit-and-run. Thankfully, Eva won’t let her mother forget it. “You need to stay on my good side for a change,” Eva warns Leslie.
Finally, that ol’ health issue that Bill has been experiencing for weeks and weeks? Well, it has reared its ugly head again when it looks like he passes out at his home. “I need an ambulance right away,” reports Hayley (Marquita Goings), who calls 911 for help.
