Last week on Beyond the Gates, Tomas worked his way in between half-sisters Eva and Kat while the fallout from Martin’s big reveal continued. This week, The Articulettes are back in action, and more importantly, ready for their highly anticipated comeback performance. Here’s the BTG video preview for the week of July 28 to August 1.
Sibling Rivalry Continues
Eva (Ambyr Michelle) and Kat (Colby Muhammad) are beyond done with each other. It’s so bad that Eva complains to her mother, who can’t muster up the energy to sympathize with her daughter. “I am tired of fighting,” Eva claims. “She’s your sister, baby. The fight has just begun,” Leslie responds.
At the same time, Kat vents to Ted (Keith D. Robinson), who undoubtedly wants the half-sisters to get along. However, that doesn’t seem likely to happen anytime soon. “Leslie and Eva are still here, determined to ruin our lives every chance they get,” Kat states.

A Great Big Leap in Logic
It’s a rare moment when Andre (Sean Freeman) shows up at the Dupree mansion, home to Vernon (Clifton Davis) and Anita (Tamara Tunie). Of course, he runs into Dani (Karla Mosley), who reacts to his presence there.
“You’re just hanging out in my parents’ foyer,” she starts. “Don’t tell me you’re here asking my dad for my hand in marriage.” She’s joking, right?
Up next, Andre and Ashley (Jen Jacob) share a romantic evening. So, is Dani truly okay with Andre pursuing more than just her?

The Comeback Begins
After decades of silence, followed by weeks of infighting, conflict, and the reunion being on, then off, and then on again, The Articulettes are back. “Every time I see videos of The Articulettes in their heyday,” Kat begins with Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) adding, “It still blows your mind, doesn’t it?” Kat, Naomi, Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla), and Samantha (Najah Jackson) can’t believe that that’s their grandma.
While the Dupree girls are in awe of the family matriarch, Anita, Tracy (Maria Howell) and Sharon (Bonita Brisker) bring this video preview to an end. The Articulettes are up on stage under the lights, with applause and cheers welcoming them back to the spotlight.
