Last week on Beyond the Gates, Martin revealed every detail of the horrific night he and Vernon experienced two years ago. The fallout is featured in the BTG video preview for July 21-25.
This Week on Beyond the Gates
Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) impatiently catches up with her dad. “I’ve been calling you for hours,” she says. Little does Chelsea know that her dad has been playing The Fixer for Martin (Brandon Claybon) and Vernon (Clifton Davis). “Cannot believe that you put us in this position,” the purse designer continues. Is this about the company that’s coming after ChelseaKat for trademark and patent infringement? Did Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) drop the ball?

Meanwhile, Ted (Keith D. Robinson) has more explaining to do, and we’re not sure if anything he says will get through to Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) at this point. “I know how this looks,” says Ted after Nicole presumably confronts him about his new set of lies. “Then you will understand why I’m taking these next steps,” Nicole states. Could Nicole be referring to filing for divorce?
Nicole and Ted’s son, Martin, understandably worries about the damage he’s done after all the lies. “I could lose my family for good,” he tells Anita (Tamara Tunie), Vernon, and Dani (Karla Mosley).
Next, Ted is in denial about a certain aspect of his newfound daughter, Eva (Ambyr Michelle). “Eva wouldn’t go after Tomas when she knows you’re seeing him,” he tells his other daughter, Kat (Colby Muhammad). “That’s not who she is.” Maybe Ted doesn’t know Eva as well as he thinks he knows. Because what we see is Eva and Tomas (Alex Alegria) kissing…are those kisses for real?

Elsewhere, Naomi’s boy scout of a husband may let his squeaky clean sense of justice come before loyalty to his wife’s family…again. Jacob (Jibre Hordges) has already arrested one member of the Duprees, and it looks like Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) has to plead with him to do the right thing for her family this time around. “I have never been more proud to be a Dupree when I’m defending us. And last time I checked, you’re one of us.”
But Naomi remains fearful about Martin’s secret staying secret. In the very next scene, the attorney warns her Fairmont Crest family. “I think you need to prepare for this. May not stay covered for long.”
Finally, it looks like we’re getting a heated confrontation between Bill and Nicole over Martin’s two-year nightmare. “I’m the one that saved your baby boy,” Bill exclaims. But Nicole isn’t having it. “I am The Fixer, now,” she yells.
