Beyond the Gates only airs three times this week (Monday, Thursday, and Friday), but the powers that be have saved a much-anticipated showdown for this short week. The BTG Must Watch video preview for April 28 – May 2 hints at the drama headed Ted and Nicole’s way.
This Week on Beyond the Gates
This week’s action is highly anticipated thanks to Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party, which is finally here.
But first, Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) needs help from her cousin Martin (Brandon Claybon), and she seems to think he’s the only one she can turn to. “I’m always happy to lend my expertise,” the congressman relays to Chelsea. “Great. I want to talk threesomes,” she responds enthusiastically. What do you think Martin will say in response?
Meanwhile, Ted (Maurice Johnson) and Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) sit, sip, and savor the quiet before the storm. They have made it through all these years, and even though they hit a rough patch years ago, it has been smooth sailing ever since. “This is the beginning of what will be truly an epic anniversary celebration,” Ted says, not realizing the hell he’ll have to face when he gets to the party.

At Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) and Hayley’s abode, they are busy gossiping. Apparently, Bill just told his newbie wife a doozy. “He cheated on his wife?” Hayley (Marquita Goings) asked. “No way! Ted did not cheat on Nicole.” The look on Bill’s face is priceless. However, he must also be happy that he isn’t the only cheater in the family.
At the party, Vernon (Clifton Davis) and Anita (Tamara Tunie) look like they’re witnessing something messy. “What in blue blazes,” Vernon wonders.

Nicole is livid because she has no idea what is going on. The one thing she does know is that whatever it is, it’s bad—very bad. The tone of her voice says it all: “Somebody needs to tell me what the hell is going on here.”
Finally, Kat (Colby Muhammad) stands with Mona (Karan Kendrick). Unsurprisingly, she is sensing some shady vibes at the anniversary shindig. “Why do I suddenly feel like I’m about to lose my family?” Ruh-roh. How bad will things get for Ted, Nicole, and their family?
