It’s a week of celebrations, showdowns, confessions, potential comebacks, and a whole lot of fun and drama, according to the Beyond the Gates video preview for April 14-18.
This Week on Beyond the Gates
It’s Kat’s (Colby Muhammad) birthday, and family, friends, and a special someone are gathering to celebrate Kat turning a year older. “Look who I found outside,” Martin (Brandon Claybon) tells the partygoers. It’s Kat’s man, Tomas (Alex Alegria).
Cousins, besties, and business partners Kat and Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) use code to talk about Kat taking her relationship with Tomas to the next level. “I don’t want to have the cake…unless I really know the cake,” the birthday girl says somewhat cryptically. Meanwhile, Chelsea asks, “Do you have to love the cake to eat the cake?” And Kat responds, “I just need to trust the cake.” Something tells us they’re not really talking about cake.

Father/Daughter Dance
Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) still thinks Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) has an ulterior motive for representing his former employees in their lawsuit against Bill’s firm and his partner, Mike Davis (Pierce Lackey). “This has always been about you getting back at me for what you think I did to your mother.”
“It’s a load of crap,” Naomi fights back. “Don’t play me, Dad. You know that’s not my style. And I’m not afraid of you.” Will this lawsuit continue to cause a chasm between Naomi and Bill?

Ready for a Comeback
In addition to Dani (Karla Mosley) facing her ex-husband and new younger wife on a regular basis, she was recently dumped — by her daughter, after she quit modeling. Also, a charity removed her from their board after her unseemly behavior at Bill and Hayley’s (Marquita Goings) wedding. It’s time for Dani to think comeback. “I’ve heard that getting back up after a series of knockdown punches is a process,” Dani tells Pamela (Cady McClain).
Pamela’s response is mysterious and intriguing. “But lucky for you, I have a proposal to make,” Dani’s best pal says.

Loaded Questions
Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) has been paying close attention to her married friend’s extracurricular activities lately. Now, Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) has to answer for herself. “Do I have feelings for Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom)? Yes,” she reveals matter-of-factly.
Finally, in a fun moment, Anita (Tamara Tunie) wants to know what Dani and Naomi are up to in her house. What do they have to say for themselves?
