On Beyond the Gates, the Duprees and Richardsons are dealing with so much turmoil thanks to Leslie’s malicious plans of revenge. But this week, the Duprees do what the Duprees do and show their defiant selves at the country club, the site of the most dramatic anniversary party ever. What else is a must-watch this week?
Martin’s Mystery Starts to Heat Up
Since the first week of BTG, the show has been teasing something horrible that involves Martin (Brandon Claybon) and Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) must have helped Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon (Clifton Davis) cover it up. It doesn’t seem like many people know what that mystery is — not even Smitty (Mike Manning) — but it has caused Martin to have nightmares and day-mares, and it’s preventing him from running for POTUS, at least for now. Martin may decide to run regardless.
Thankfully, the congressman begins to unravel the truth behind a haunting memory that could destroy the family’s legacy. What will we find out this week? And how in the world could it “destroy the family’s legacy?”

A Kat Trap
While Kat (Colby Muhammad) definitely has it out for Eva (Ambyr Michelle), this week, she seems to pivot and focus much of her attention on Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant). Don’t get us wrong. Kat and Eva will still have their heated moments. The rivalry is still intact. However, towards the end of the week, Kat turns the tables with a bold move that could finally bring Leslie down.
In this week’s video preview, Leslie tells Kat that Eva ran Laura (Destiny Love) off the road. Does Kat do her own digging and find out that it might not have been the daughter who did it, that maybe Leslie did?

New Ted, and New Move for Nicole?
Look for Keith D. Robinson to step into the role of Dr. Ted Richardson, taking over from Maurice Johnson. This happens on Thursday, May 15, the same day Ted’s daughter, Kat, goes after Leslie. Meanwhile, on Friday, Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) contemplates a life-changing move. Leslie blindsided her with the truth about her husband. Ever since, she’s been numb, and she has been seeking support from her family.
But this is Nicole, and she is self-sufficient. And she won’t wait long to pick herself back up and get her life back. Does she actually contemplate a divorce, or is this about something completely different?
