On Beyond the Gates, Kat has been working overtime—not on the fashion line she and Chelsea are working on, but on nailing Leslie for Laura’s hit-and-run. There might be movement on that this week now that she broke into Eva’s hotel room and stole Eva’s leverage on her mother. Here’s what else we’re looking forward to watching this week.

Forget the Ex, Dani

Yes, Dani (Karla Mosley) is the Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) whisperer. The two have chemistry, but they are done. However, Bill’s health emergency is undoubtedly stirring up Dani’s emotions, so much so that it’s messing with her mind and her situationship with Andre (Sean Freeman). So that must be why the teasers for June 9-13 show Dani’s feelings for her ex complicate things with her new boo.

While Dani is allowed to worry about Bill’s health, she doesn’t need to let it take over her life. She and Andre have something good going on. And if she’s not ready to explore that further, she can hopefully concentrate on herself and the company that she’s building with Pamela (Cady McClain). We hope Dani realizes that regressing is not the way to go here.

Past Imperfect

We still don’t know what Anita (Tamara Tunie), Vernon (Clifton Davis), and Bill are covering up for Martin. And Brandon Claybon, the actor who plays Martin, is really proud of that fact. Take a look at a recent (and hilarious) tweet of his:

We’re hoping that this week, we inch even closer to finding out the truth. There’s a good chance that’ll happen because there’s actually a double dose of Martin-related drama that we’re super excited to see. On Thursday, Smitty’s new assignment could spell trouble for Martin. Smitty (Mike Manning) is an investigative reporter, and if he has half the investigative skills Kat has, then Martin needs to worry. Then on Friday, Martin’s past haunts his present. That sounds like more than a nightmare. Will whatever this is provide the clue we need to figure out the mystery?

Kat Sets a Mouse Trap

While Kat’s forensics skills are messy, her investigative skills can’t be beat. Her determination has caused Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) to threaten, deflect, and insist she’s innocent. She has been throwing up smoke and mirrors, and it’s pretty futile because everybody knows she’s guilty. But everybody also thinks she’s going to get away with her crimes.

Everybody except Kat (Colby Muhammad). The stylish Nancy Drew is going to make sure she gets justice for Laura (Destiny Love). So look for Kat to set a trap for Leslie. Let’s hope that trap doesn’t blow back on her because Leslie is dangerous with a capital D.
