Beyond the Gates has been focusing on Martin’s big reveal about that nightmare night two years ago and The Articulettes’ comeback concert. Fear not, however. There’s a dangling secret that just may take center stage towards the end of this week—Hayley’s supposed pregnancy. Plus, there are a couple of other moments on our radar.
Shady Business Practices
Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) knows she’s in dangerous territory. She is mixing it up with Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) professionally and personally, and she has to know how easily things could go wrong. She already has to deal with an out-of-control Doug (Jason Graham), who’s making his jealousy known.
Unfortunately, she may run into some more trouble this week. It sounds like she may be reaping the rewards from her under-the-poker-table deal with Joey. This success could have unfortunate consequences.
Look for Vanessa’s extra cash flow to draw some unwanted attention. What kind of unwanted attention?

Long Overdue Naomi Vs. Bill Clash
Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) is currently conflicted over two things. One is keeping the secret surrounding the park murder cover-up from her husband, Jacob (Jibre Hordges). Two is knowing that her father signed off on the bigoted busboy’s murder. So far, she hasn’t reached out to her father about what the former Dupree family fixer did.
Well, that’s set to end this week when Naomi clashes with Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) over his involvement with Joey. She knew her dad was ruthless, but she didn’t know he was capable of consorting with the shady casino owner. But first and foremost, Bill is one of the best attorneys in the DMV, so he can talk himself out of trouble with his daughter, right?

Hayley in the Hot Seat
Hayley (Marquita Goings) has been attempting to ride under the radar during her supposed pregnancy. But she didn’t have that ultrasound when she suddenly experienced distress in front of Dani (Karla Mosley), who, up until then, was sure Hayley was faking her pregnancy. But she miraculously delivered the ultrasound results days later to Bill.
And now, a trio of August 4-8 teasers could potentially have ramifications for Hayley and her alleged pregnancy. First, she calls in a mysterious favor. Second, Dani rushes into action during an emergency. Third, Hayley shares news with Bill that affects her future.
