A lot of drama is building up on Beyond the Gates the week of April 28-May 2. And most of it involves Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party. Thanks to Leslie, it could turn into a nightmare for the happy couple.
Stopping Leslie
Right now, what we think we know is that Dana (aka Leslie) and Ted (Maurice Johnson) had an affair back in the day. She got pregnant and had the baby even though Ted thought she had an abortion. Meanwhile, Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) and Ted’s relationship was rocky.
In the current timeline, Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) has been plotting her revenge. To do that, she has donned several disguises, mowed down Nicole’s assistant while riding a motorcycle, and even secured $50K in cash from Ted. Eva has tried to manage her mom, but doesn’t know everything. For example, Leslie injected potassium into Laura’s (Destiny Love) IV so she couldn’t return to work soon.
Leslie wants her grand revenge to go down at Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party, which starts this week. Since Eva (Ambyr Michelle) has been bonding with Ted and Nicole, she has been wary about publicly enacting her mom’s nefarious plans. So look for Eva to try to keep her mother in check one last time. That’s easier said than done.

Time for Celebrating is Over
This week’s theme is the teaser that ominously states that Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party is a night the family won’t soon forget. Since BTG started, Nicole, the renowned psychiatrist, has been listening to and supporting everybody, especially Dani (Karla Mosley), Ted, Andre (Sean Freeman), Doug (Jason Graham), and even Eva. She also tried to help one of Leslie’s alter egos, Sherry Carter.
But after this week, Nicole will need help from her family. We’re excited to see the Duprees have her back and lift her up because she’s going to need it.

We’re Looking at You, Bill
There’s another element of this story that we discovered when Ted came clean about his affair to Andre. He said that his lawyer handled things with Dana, paying her off and seeing that she took care of the baby situation. That’s why Ted thinks that Dana/Leslie had the abortion and has no idea that he has a grown child out there.
The teasers for this week reveal that Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) braces for his part in Ted’s deception to come to light. That means he was Ted’s lawyer, as many have suspected since Ted’s confession. Can’t wait to see if this secret will blow up in his face. It’ll be another reason his family could turn their backs on him. Hayley (Marquita Goings) might feel a type of way, too.
