This week, Eva (Ambyr Michelle) and Kat (Colby Muhammad) engage in all-out war, according to the weekly spoilers. It has been something that has been brewing for a long time. Recently, Kat overheard Eva call Ted, “Dad,” and she didn’t appreciate it. That has to be what triggers Tuesday’s war.
It must be bad, because on Wednesday, Ted (Keith D. Robinson) tries his best to get through to his daughter (Kat) while Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) gloats over hers (Eva). This could mean that Eva wins the war outright. Ted has been putting a lot of effort into building a relationship with his new daughter. Meanwhile, he has barely communicated with Kat. Will his attempt to reach her work? Or will their father/daughter connection continue to suffer?
Moving On Already?
Derek (Ben Gavin) and Ashley’s engagement imploded after she walked in on him standing on his own two legs. He subsequently confessed to having felt the sensation return for a while now. Ashley (Jen Jacob) realized he had lied to her repeatedly.
Do not look for Derek to pine for his ex-fiancée for too long. On Wednesday, flames ignite between Derek and a co-worker, and that’s after he leans on Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) for support…again.
Dinner Date Drama
Finally, on Friday, look for a double date to take place between Naomi/Jacob and Bill/Hayley. Naomi’s not a fan of her ex-bestie, but she admitted that she knows Hayley makes her dad happy. Obviously, Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) knows nothing about Hayley (Marquita Goings) preparing herself to be a black widow. Bill’s new wife has been busy lacing his healthy tea in hopes of collecting on a ten-million-dollar insurance policy.
However, the teasers suggest that Naomi and Jacob (Jibre Hordges) discover something startling during their dinner date with Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) and Hayley. What do they see? Does Bill’s health take a turn? Is Hayley eyeing someone else, like Jacob’s brother Izaiah (David Lami Friebe), while they’re all attempting to make polite conversation?
