Key Takeaways
- Derek and Grayson’s clash threatens to spiral as Ashley steps in
- Bill’s attempt to reconnect with Vernon is shut down hard
- Eva grows uneasy as Leslie’s mood takes a troubling turn
The Newest Rivals on the Block
Derek (Ben Gavin) is having problems adjusting to life without Ashley (Jen Jacob). His problem is that he can’t do it. It’s maddening to him that she has already started moving on. And he is choosing to be really awful about it. He ran to her mother and dropped Ashley’s news in her lap before she could tell her mom herself.
He then crashed Ashley and Grayson’s daytime date at Orphey Gene’s and made himself comfortable at their table. He’s creating awkward moments because his ego can’t handle the fact that his former fiancée wants nothing to do with him. On Thursday, it gets worse.
Ashley referees an altercation between Derek and Grayson (Jordi Vilaususo, who talked to Soap Hub about joining BTG). Before she can stop the clash in its tracks, how bad does it get?
Eva’s Worried
According to the weekly spoilers, Leslie’s mood makes her daughter wary of what’s to come. Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) is all up in her feelings over Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) growing closer to Ted (Keith D. Robinson). And this may also be about potentially not getting her way with Joey (Jon Lindstrom) about the name of the free clinic.
But it’s highly likely that this mood is about Shanice and Ted. Eva (Ambyr Michelle) probably has a right to be worried. She knows what her mom is capable of, and if she resorts to some of the things she did when going after Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix), then everybody needs to be worried. Is Leslie in danger of going nuclear? And how will Eva respond? Hopefully, she will give Ted a heads-up immediately.
Bill Has a Rough Interaction with Vernon
Lately, all of Bill’s thoughts have been about Dani (Karla Mosley). When she kissed him the other day, it left him hot and bothered. And now Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) has no time for his wife. He has no time for Hayley (Marquita Goings) and even pretended to be asleep when she got home recently.
As for Vernon (Clifton Davis), he’s struggling as he supports Anita (Tamara Tunie) through her cancer journey. But she is pushing back against his overprotective tendencies. And it’s resulting in the power couple clashing. So he has to be feeling helpless and super impatient.
That may be why Bill’s attempt to reminisce with Vernon is instead met with disdain. Vernon’s struggling. Will Bill be able to help his former father-in-law?
Business Updates
On Thursday, the Dupree women focus on business. Look for Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) and Kat (Colby Muhammad) to prep for their Fenmore’s meeting. Bill got this as a Christmas gift for Chelsea, and now it looks like it’s happening. Is Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) about to crossover into the land of Fairmont Crest?
When Dani and Pamela (Cady McClain) spotted Izaiah (David Friebe Lami) from afar, they knew he would be right for their upcoming modeling gig. Dani propositions Izaiah, probably in a way only Dani can. Something tells us that it will take some convincing to get him to crossover into the modeling world. He’s happy with his job at Banneker.
