The Wednesday, February 25, spoilers for Beyond the Gates focus on Jacob’s undercover mission, which takes a turn when he runs into a familiar face. Meanwhile, Eva and Leslie lock horns over the clinic. And Ashley and Shanice take a trip down memory lane on Ashley’s work anniversary.
Key Takeaways
- Jacob’s undercover mission takes a risky turn when he runs into someone he never expected.
- Mother and daughter clash over control of the free clinic.
- Ashley and Shanice reflect on a year filled with chaos, growth, and second chances.
Undercover Jacob
Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) is in deep undercover mode, and he’s making progress. He passed his loyalty test, and now he’s making runs for the plasma ring. He moved out of his house and gave Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) a burner phone so they could occasionally text in peace. He’s secretly meeting with Smitty (Mike Manning) to share intel so the journalist can further investigate. Everything is going smoothly so far.
Until Wednesday, when Jacob runs into a familiar face. In BTG’s weekly video preview, the undercover detective is caught off guard when he sees his brother. Jacob’s probably in a place where Izaiah (Lami) shouldn’t be. It has to be the last place he ever thought he would see his sibling. Maybe back in the day, when Izaiah was a shadier individual, but not now. So how will he explain himself?
Mother/Daughter Clash
Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) had a disastrous Valentine’s Day. She needs a win, and her free clinic, which she is spearheading, is just the project that can help her do that. Not only will it do good for the community, but everybody will know that she’s the woman behind it, and Leslie loves that attention.
The weekly spoilers reveal that Eva (Ambyr Michelle) and Leslie lock horns over the clinic. And the video preview shows Leslie doing her best to school Eva on “how real business is done.” Eva has learned a lot from managing her dad’s practice. She probably has solid advice to give her mom, but the woman won’t listen.
New Purpose
Meanwhile, Derek (Ben Gavin) makes a career decision. He needs a new purpose now that he can’t go back to being a heroic firefighter. Jan (Jerri Tubbs) has been trying to get him to channel his superhero tendencies at the free clinic. He would be one of the few paid employees, and she feels he could do a great job there and be invaluable to getting the clinic off the ground.
But his stubbornness and his dislike for Leslie have prevented him from saying yes. Maybe he decides to go for it after all.
Walk Down Memory Lane
Finally, look for Ashley (Jen Jacob) and Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) to take a trip down memory lane on Ashley’s work anniversary. It has been a year since she started, and a lot has happened. She and Shanice have clashed, but ultimately developed a friendship. Ashley and Andre (Sean Freeman) teamed up to deliver a baby while stuck in the elevator.
Other hospital happenings include Leslie attempting to kill Laura (Destiny Love). Ted (Keith D. Robinson) and Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley) almost came to blows. Derek was rushed in for treatment a couple of times, including the accident that temporarily paralyzed him. Shanice and Ted struck up a romance. And Ashley met Grayson (Jordi Vilasuso). This milestone coincides with BTG’s first anniversary, too. What memories will the two nurses recall?
