Deception Discussion
Eva (Ambyr Michelle) recently told her mom how Marcel (Darryl W. Handy) was paid to stick to Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) like glue at WinterFest. And so that meant Leslie would have to be wary when dealing with the shady detective.
However, Leslie seemed to take it in stride. After all, she had plans to give as good as she got. It doesn’t hurt to have a cop like Marcel on her side, right?
Even so, on Thursday, Leslie calls out Marcel for his deception. How will Detective Malone respond? It’s only fair that if Leslie calls Marcel out on his deception that he should call Leslie out on her hypocrisy. After all, the woman’s middle name is practically “Deception.”
Speaking of Deception
Meanwhile, someone from Hayley’s past is back. Her name is Lynette Wise (Dominique Madison), and they used to run cons together. She knows Hayley’s game, and she sure knows Randy’s too.
The weekly spoilers reveal that Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) catches up with an old friend, who has to be Lynette. The second part of that teaser introduces a hint of mystery. This interaction leaves him and Hayley (Marquita Goings) with more questions than answers.
Is this related to her case that led her to the DMV? The one where she says she’s actually innocent despite her sordid past? Or is this about the fact that she could blow up what Randy and Hayley have going on in Fairmont Crest if she wanted to?
Reflection and Resolution
Dani (Karla Mosley) and Andre (Sean Freeman) are truly happy with their marriage. She loves being with a man who knows her, accepts her, and is happy with just her. However, she still has loose ends from her first marriage to deal with, and it seems like Dani and Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) are about to do just that.
There was a brief period recently where it looked like Bill and Dani were gravitating back to each other. Thankfully, nothing came of those couple of heated moments. Instead, Dani committed 100% to Andre.
But there will always be a connection between Dani and Bill. And on Thursday, the two come to a new understanding as they reminisce about their past. Are they about to put their issues to bed for good?
Support from the Queen Dupree
Finally, Anita (Tamara Tunie) helps draw Andre even closer to the Dupree family. Andre is not just happy with the fact that he’s with the woman of his dreams. Her family has finally accepted him, and for someone who lost theirs a long time ago, this is everything.
While Bill and Dani reflect on their shared past, Anita helps Andre open up about his own. Slowly and surely, he has been letting Dani in on the pain of losing his family. And these are the holidays when that pain can feel even worse.
But this year, Andre doesn’t have to feel that loneliness. And now, this may be another chance for Andre to release some of the pain and grief he’s feeling.
