Caroline Goes Toe-to-Toe with Her “Bestie”
Once upon a time, Caroline (Ellie Wang) was one of the only people not named Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) who was actually friendly with Hayley (Marquita Goings). Unfortunately, she came to realize over time that their friendship wasn’t genuine. And now she knows that Hayley was a con artist who tried to kill her boss.
Caroline is Bill’s ride-or-die at the office. She will forever be loyal to the man. At one point, he bought her a luxury car to reward her for her loyalty. So when Hayley faces off with Caroline, you can bet that Caroline will fiercely defend her boss. The two will be able to drop any pretenses and be real with each other — for once.
Caroline is undoubtedly feeling anger, hurt, and a million other emotions after learning her so-called friend is traitorous and murderous, and is wiggling her way out of facing any consequences for her actions.

Bill learning that his wife had slowly tried to poison him over the last year is a big blow to his ego. He will be reeling over this development for quite some time. Doubly so if he gets no justice and Hayley walks free and clear.
Look for Dani (Karla Mosley) to do her best to bolster Bill. The man is regretting a whole lot of things right about now, including the way he blew up his family to marry Hayley.
Meanwhile, Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) takes out her frustrations on Madison (Kenjah). That’s not good. The person she needs to be taking her frustrations out on is Hayley, who slapped her in the middle of Orphey Gene’s after Chelsea threw a glass of water on her.
Kat and Tomas May Finally Turn Things Around
So far, this Hayley situation has been bad for Kat (Colby Nixon) and Tomas (Alex Alegria). The two are barely talking. But things may take a turn for the better, believe it or not.
Kat and Tomas suddenly find common ground in a common enemy. This has to be Hayley, right? They were both highly suspicious of her with the Lynette Wise (Dominique Madison) business. Will they go digging into Hayley’s background?
Martin’s Political Future Takes a Troubling Turn
The weekly teasers suggest that Martin’s re-election is in jeopardy. This could be about the leverage Hayley’s threatening to use on Bill and the Duprees if she doesn’t get her way (no charges, lots of money, house in St. Bart’s). It all has to do with the night that Martin (Brandon Claybon) killed that racist thug in self-defense.
Or it could have to do with what Smitty (Mike Manning) is facing. Legal troubles loom for him over this Impaler investigation. That deepfake video could haunt the Smith-Richardsons, especially if Heather (Ashley Jones) has her way.
Jacob’s Focus Turns Back to The Impaler
Hayley’s arrest has taken up a lot of Jacob’s time. But he never takes his eye off the other ball — the Impaler investigation. According to the teasers, Jacob’s evidence is met with familial resistance.
Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) has already expressed concern for Jacob (Jibre Hordges) questioning Smitty at the precinct over the deepfake video. It’s no surprise that other Duprees may take issue as well. And we’re sure that Smitty’s lawyer — Jacob’s wife Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) — will have plenty to say about this piece of evidence as well.
