A lot of drama is building up on Beyond the Gates the week of April 21-25. This could be the week a decades-old secret is outed, a man’s life could fall apart, and another fights to save his law firm.
Power and Consequences
Bill’s business decisions may come back and bite him in the you-know-what. What’s so interesting about this is that Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) removed herself from the case. The women decided to take the settlement Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) offered. All should be good, right? Wrong.
In order to clean up Mike Davis’s (Pierce Lackey) mess, Bill and the partners had to expel him from the firm. So we’re thinking there must be employees at the firm who aren’t happy with the way the lawsuit played out. Remember when Bill’s biggest problem was Dani (Karla Mosley)? That might not be the case anymore since he’ll be dealing with an in-house power struggle and potential health concerns. And there’s also the matter of Hayley (Marquita Goings) being late, and we’re not talking to work.

A Desperate Ted
Ted’s secret affair is weighing on him at the most inopportune of times. He and Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) are about to celebrate their anniversary. Eva (Ambyr Michelle) — his daughter, whom he doesn’t know exists — is coordinating the big event. Meanwhile, Ted (Maurice Johnson) is going to try to do whatever he can to prevent his wife from learning his secret.
He urges Nicole to abandon their anniversary bash for a private getaway. However, the party is already being planned, and we bet she won’t let Eva’s hard work go to waste. Maybe Ted will come up with a compromise so he and Nicole can get out of town before Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) can blow up their lives.

The Gambler
This will be a pivotal week for Dr. Doug (Jason Graham), who has been trying his best to go cold turkey and avoid Joey Armstrong’s (Jon Lindstrom) casino and his wrath. From the sounds of it, he won’t be doing a good enough job because poor Doug will wrestle with his demons.
Will this be the week Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) finds out about her husband’s extracurricular activities as well as the debt he owes a certain casino boss?
