To Quit or Not to Quit— That is the Question
Tomas’ work life has become dramatic and cutthroat. But not because of his fellow attorneys. Nope. He’s going up against his boss’s wife, who works as a paralegal for the firm. Hayley (Marquita Goings) is trying to distract Tomas (Alex Alegria) from digging into her connection with Lynette (Dominique Madison).
But Tomas knows something is up with these two. And more importantly, so does his girlfriend, Kat (Colby Muhammad). And so Hayley is playing the sexual harassment card since witnessing Tomas’s attempts to get close to Lynette to get the goods on Hayley. Tomas suspects Hayley’s a hustler. So she’s doing everything she can to get Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) to cut Tomas loose.
As a result, Tomas is already looking for work elsewhere. And on Thursday, he has a decision to make regarding his career. Will he quit? Or will he stay and do his best to expose Hayley and her lies?
Hayley Feels the Heat from that Viper Lynette
Lynette is proving herself to be a leech of the highest order. She is going to get her payday by hook or by crook. She’s luxuriating in a chichi hotel room on Bill’s dime. To the tune of a hefty $15K so far.
Bill’s law firm freed her from those fraud charges pro bono. And she won’t give Hayley her engagement ring back. Apparently, that is payment for staging the mugging.
According to the weekly teasers, Lynette blackmails Hayley. Lynette must finally see that Hayley’s marriage to Bill is all about the Benjamins. And she wants in. Hayley doesn’t even know that Bill has asked Joey to look into Lynette. How’s Hayley going to handle this latest mess?
Bill and Dani Update Each Other A Lot
Meanwhile, Bill and Dani (Karla Mosley) continue to find reasons to be in each other’s presence. This time, Bill decides to update his ex-wife on his future. One that won’t involve having a baby with Hayley. Will he bring up this whole Lynette business with Dani? She could provide an interesting perspective.
Carlton’s in the Doghouse With Nicole Again
After Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) and Carlton’s double date with Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and Joey (Jon Lindstrom), Carlton (Robert Christopher Riley) finds himself in the doghouse again. That’s because he’s about to step into some sort of trouble with the woman he’s seeing.
What does Carlton do this time that finds him on Nicole’s bad side? It could be whatever happened during the double date when Carlton and Joey clashed. Or it could be a fresh new act that upsets Nicole. Carlton and Kial (Greg Vaughan) have been trading time in the doghouse lately. At some point, will Nicole choose between the two?
Vanessa Refuses to Cut Joey Loose
Joey and Vanessa, the other half of that double date, are just fine, thank you very much. In fact, Vanessa is so in love with what she has with the corrupt casino owner that she has told Deanna (Angela Fairley) the truth about her marriage to Doug (Jason Graham). And she came clean about her relationship with Joey.
And it doesn’t matter how anybody judges her relationship with Joey. She is in it to win it. So if anybody thinks that she should distance herself from this admittedly shady guy, they need to think again. Instead, Vanessa doubles down on her relationship with Joey.
