It was a busy week in Fairmont Crest, and the Beyond The Gates recap for April 7–11 had its share of drama and unresolved problems for people.
What Happened In Fairmont Crest?
Check out the daily summary recap of each episode below.
It was a tense and revealing afternoon at the Richardsons’ townhouse, where Martin (Brandon Claybon) experienced another traumatic flashback, shedding light on the mysterious event everyone was desperate to keep hidden. This time, a crowbar appeared amid the usual haunting car noises, hinting at the violent nature of the secret. Martin became frustrated when Smitty (Mike Manning) suggested that his silence was negatively affecting their children.
Meanwhile, Smitty had been obsessively monitoring Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller) at school, searching for answers about his black eye. Unfortunately, none of his sources could provide clarity. Unbeknownst to them, Tyrell’s classmate Samantha was texting a friend about a photo of him circulating around the school.
Elsewhere, Ted (Maurice Johnson) showed up at Leslie’s place with no intention of making amends. When she threatened to scream, he dismissed it and coolly dropped $50,000 on the table — the amount she had demanded — telling her to leave his life for good. His cruel remark about her not having children, a reference to a past abortion he forced on her, prompted Leslie to threaten to expose their affair to Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix).
At Garland Memorial, Eva (Ambyr Michelle) met Laura, the girl Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) had hit with her car. With Laura recovering faster than expected, Eva’s job as Nicole’s assistant seemed to be ending — until Nicole mentioned possibly hiring a second assistant, much to Ted’s relief. Meanwhile, Leslie secretly sabotaged Laura’s IV, likely delaying her recovery.
Back at home, Martin confided in Vernon (Clifton Davis) and Anita (Tamara Tunie), overwhelmed by guilt and fear. Despite his torment, they urged him to remain silent. Anita reminded him that exposing the truth would be more devastating than any nightmare — leaving the core mystery still shrouded in secrecy.
Dani’s (Karla Mosley) highly anticipated fashion show finally took place, and the entire Dupree family prepared to attend — even the reluctant Vernon. Andre (Sean Freeman) supported Dani, though she remained fixated on the idea that this was Chelsea’s (RhonniRose Mantilla) final runway show, calling it “the end of my life as I know it.” When Dani’s friends arrived to get ready, they were surprised to find Andre there, but Dani quickly covered for him, keeping their secret intact.
Smitty allowed Samantha (Najah Jackson) to attend the show as Chelsea’s assistant, even providing her with a glamorous dress for the occasion. Smitty also used the event as research for his article on influencers misusing their power. Meanwhile, Martin was happy to see his husband returning to his passion, and Smitty softened his stance on Martin’s potential presidential run — though Martin admitted Vernon and Anita had already shut that idea down.
Anita donated the dress from her first solo show at Madison Square Garden for the silent auction, stirring nostalgic feelings. Vernon, recognizing the sentimental value, secretly bid $10,000 to ensure the dress would return to Anita’s closet.
Tomás (Alex Alegria) surprised Kat (Colby Muhammad) at the show but found himself surrounded by Vernon, Ted, Martin, and Smitty, who grilled him humorously. Though initially flustered, he relaxed when they clarified they weren’t worried about Kat — they were worried about him surviving Kat’s fiery personality.
The show itself ran flawlessly, a rarity for the country club venue. The biggest surprise came when Samantha took to the runway, stunning the audience with her confidence and poise. It was clear to everyone — including Dani — that Samantha might have real modeling potential, and it wouldn’t be long before Dani considered managing her.
At Garland Memorial, Andre resumed his usual antics, secretly filming hospital staff from a distance. Too timid to approach him, the nurses avoided confrontation, so he stalked them like a wildlife photographer. The only notable footage he managed to get was of Ashley (Jen Jacob) being reprimanded over a chart error — which she promptly made him delete. However, she later agreed to another interview, during which she broke down when asked about Derek, revealing her deep fear over his dangerous job as a firefighter.
Meanwhile, Leslie, in disguise as “LuLu,” lurked the hospital halls, determined to keep Laura from returning to work. Her story didn’t fool Shanice, who grew more suspicious with every lie. Doctors informed Laura that while there was no permanent damage, an infection — likely caused by Leslie — would delay her discharge. This pleased Leslie but raised Eva’s suspicions even more.
Back at the Richardsons’, Chelsea visited to celebrate Samantha’s runway debut, bringing flowers and warnings about the modeling industry. Samantha remained undeterred and shocked Chelsea by asking her to become her manager. Chelsea agreed, pending approval from Martin and Smitty.
Elsewhere, Nicole discovered Kat’s hidden camera and confronted her with fury, accusing her of being unrecognizable and heartless. Eva overheard the confrontation with satisfaction, while Kat maintained her suspicions. The drama deepened when Tomás, after accepting Kat’s party invite, had a flirty run-in with Eva — suggesting he might be enjoying their feud.
Finally, Nicole and Ted debated what to do with Eva once Laura (Destiny Love) returned. Ted proposed giving her a hairstyling job at the country club, which Nicole supported. Unbeknownst to them, Eva overheard — and wasn’t thrilled with the plan.
Dani’s day at the country club took a sharp turn when she learned she was being dropped from the first-generation grant organization. Expecting a meeting about future projects, she instead got a professional breakup from Hannah, who claimed Dani’s recent behavior was “unacceptable” and cited a unanimous board vote for her removal. Dani didn’t go quietly, accusing the board of using her for the fashion show and blasting Hannah for being a poor role model.
Meanwhile, Hayley (Marquita Goings) and Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) were also dining at the club, where Hayley faced blatant disrespect — the waiter wouldn’t even serve her unless Bill ordered for both of them. Still, Hayley found amusement in watching Dani’s public takedown and tried to gloat. Dani, unfazed, declared the situation a “minor setback” and promised she already had a comeback plan.
At home, Samantha revealed her desire to model, expecting Smitty to object. Surprisingly, he supported her, impressed by her confidence on the runway. With Tyrell’s help, she spoke to Smitty before Martin, who remained firmly against the idea. Still, Samantha refused to back down, informing both dads that she was moving forward with or without their blessing.
Later, Martin asked Dani for advice. She compared Samantha’s modeling dreams to his political ambitions, arguing that the right manager could guide her to success. Despite her perspective, Martin held his ground. That didn’t stop Samantha, who called Chelsea and falsely claimed she had her fathers’ approval. Believing her, Chelsea agreed to manage her.
Outraged by Dani’s dismissal, Anita invited Hannah over and delivered an ultimatum. When Hannah refused to reverse the decision, Anita and Vernon withdrew their foundation’s support and threatened to start their own scholarship program, effectively sabotaging Hannah’s organization to protect their daughter’s future.
Samantha believed she had successfully gone behind her parents’ backs by secretly asking Chelsea to manage her budding modeling career — but Dani Dupree had other plans. Dani showed up at home, declaring herself the ideal person to guide Samantha’s career. Things quickly turned uncomfortable when Chelsea arrived, and Dani realized she was already involved. Samantha tried to smooth things over by suggesting they stick with Chelsea since she was asked first. A candid conversation with Chelsea led Dani to accept that she had overstepped into a space where she wasn’t wanted.
At Garland Memorial, Eva grew suspicious when she found out Laura was being cared for by a mysterious new nurse — not realizing it was actually Leslie in disguise. Her attempt to get information from Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) didn’t go anywhere. When Eva confronted Leslie at home, wearing yet another wig, she accused her of impersonating a nurse. Leslie denied everything but hinted that if she ever went too far, Eva would be the one to stop her.
Meanwhile, Andre’s documentary work turned dramatic when Ted overheard an emotional clip of Nicole discussing past traumas, including a miscarriage and a difficult night when she couldn’t find her husband. Ted seemed rattled — especially since it was the same night their baby had a medical scare, and he had been “stuck in traffic.” Suspicion lingered that he may have actually been with Leslie. Ted later confessed everything to Andre: an affair, an abortion, and a $50,000 payoff to make a woman named Dana vanish. Andre, shocked, could barely process it.
Elsewhere, Doug (Jason Graham) began to spiral. Despite recent casino success, he arrived at the hospital looking unwell and had to excuse himself mid-surgery. Realizing the severity of his addiction, he admitted to Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) that he needed to quit gambling. Meanwhile, Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) continued falling for Joey’s (Jon Lindstrom) charm, unaware she was walking straight into his trap.
