The Beyond The Gates recap for Friday, March 7, sees Dani deciding to move forward from Bill, but Jacob arrests her. Plus, Doug gets involved with Joey, and Leslie causes a big disturbance at the hospital. The drama was intense in Fairmont Crest.
What Happened On Beyond The Gates?
Kat (Colby Muhammad) grilled Eva (Ambyr Michelle) about her suspicious behavior in Nicole’s (Daphnée Duplaix) office, refusing to let the matter go. She accused Eva of wrongdoing, and when Eva denied it, Kat decided to involve Nicole to get to the truth. Eva stood her ground, even when Kat insinuated that she was pleased about Laura’s accident.
Meanwhile, Kat tracked down Nicole, who was in the hospital hallway with Ted (Maurice Johnson)—unaware that Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant), in a blonde wig, was watching them from afar while also watching a tribute video on her phone. Leslie seemed to be keeping close tabs on them. Nicole called Kat “spoiled brat” and demanded that she drop the issue with Eva.
Later, Eva ran into Ted, who thanked her for being a “godsend” to Nicole. Ted assumed she was intimidated by the powerful Dupree name and reassured her that she belonged. This prompted Eva to reveal a little about her difficult past and the father she never knew. After Eva left, Ted told Nicole he felt guilty about her situation, but Nicole dismissed it, saying he had done nothing wrong. Outside, Leslie lurked, vowing to make the Hamiltons regret ever crossing her.

Moving On
Exhausted from recent chaos, Dani (Karla Mosley) headed to a bar, declaring it was time to “embrace the unusual.” She asked the bartender to surprise her with a drink. Her thoughts drifted to her complicated relationship with Andre (Sean Freeman), leading to a brief flirtation via text, but she abruptly cut it off, insisting that “never again means never again.” She told Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) and Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) to meet her at Dupree Manor for an “earth-shattering” announcement.
At the bar, Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) joined Dani, but her focus was split. Vanessa was distracted by Diego (Carlos E. Palacio), who was making intense eye contact from across the room.
Elsewhere, Doug (Jason Graham) had a shady conversation with a casino owner named Joey (Jon Lindstrom) who was obsessed with The Lincoln Lawyer. After hearing Doug’s backstory, the man offered to clear his gambling debt—on one condition: Doug had to become his “friend.” The offer turned more sinister when the man later told an associate, “I want Doug McBride in my debt.”
Dani showed up late to her own family meeting at the Dupree Manor. Before starting, she asked for Nicole’s to show up because she “couldn’t do this twice,” but the family urged her go on without her sister. Dani declared, “My marriage is dead, and I am finally ready to bury it.”
However, the family doubted whether she was truly over Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) and Hayley (Marquita Goings). Dani insisted she was moving on, and she talked about reclaiming her happiness and strength. Vernon (Clifton Davis) cheered, “Our girl has seen the light! Can I get an amen?” The mood lightened, and the Duprees even celebrated with an impromptu dance.
Shocking Arrest
The joy was short-lived. Jacob (Jibre Hordges) showed with shocking news—he was placing Dani under arrest for attempted murder! Bill smugly celebrated his apparent victory at the bar as the family reeled, confirming that he was behind Dani’s legal troubles.
Meanwhile, at the hospital, Nicole and Ted were delayed because of a woman threatening to jump from the roof. Nicole rushed up to intervene, only to realize that the distressed woman was Leslie.
