The Beyond The Gates recap for Monday, February 24, finally introduces soap fans to all things Fairmont Crest.
What Happened On Beyond The Gates?
As “Best of My Love” played, a grand car pulled up to the gates of the Fairmont Crest Country Club. Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson (Daphnée Duplaix) was driving. She pulled up to the club and walked in, leaving the car for the valet.
Inside, staff set a table reserved for the Duprees. Anita (Tamara Tunie) walked in and was greeted by Calvin. He took Anita and Nicole’s coats as they updated each other about not hearing from Dani (Karla Mosley).
They went to the dining room to enjoy breakfast. They were worried about Dani, discussing the end of her marriage due to Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) and Hayley (Marquita Goings) having an affair, noting that news of the couple’s wedding set Dani off again. Anita admitted she’d never liked Bill, especially after he started his criminal law practice, and she compared him to shady music industry execs.
Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) was supposed to join the women for breakfast, but she texted she’d be late. She was in bed, enjoying adult time with her husband, Detective Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges). After, she worried about how her so-called best friend had stolen her dad, wrecking her family. Naomi tried to entice her husband to play hooky from work.
After they put their clothes back on, Naomi gave her husband some furry handcuffs to mark his first day on the job. She also put a gift for her best friend’s first day on the job in her bag.

Recap: Fury and Rage
Dani struggled to make coffee at her home, and she angrily threw not one but two mugs with a primal scream. Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) let herself in, noticing the shattered mugs. Dani was upset about Bill and Hayley’s upcoming wedding at the club. Vanessa suggested a spa day and encouraged Dani to remember “the Dupree of it all.”
Dani called her daughter Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) to remind her about an upcoming photoshoot, which annoyed Chelsea. Vanessa cautioned Dani not to take her anger out on her model daughter, and they discussed Dani’s glory days as a model.
Chelsea complained to her assistant, Kat (Colby Muhammad), about her mom/manager’s control freak ways. Kat urged Chelsea to enjoy what she had, and they discussed launching a new line of purses. Chelsea worried about the timing and her mom’s personal issues, so she wasn’t sure she could quit modeling to be a social media influencer.
Back at the club, they discussed Nicole’s upcoming honor — The State of Maryland Distinguished Award in Psychiatry. Hayley walked in as an assistant asked her how many people were coming to the wedding, and Hayley said to accommodate all invited guests despite receiving few RSVPs.
Dani walked in, and Hayley went to talk to her. She told Dani she hated the animosity, comparing Dani’s family to the family she’d never had. Dani read her for filth over paying the family back by stealing Bill.
Dani joined her mom and sister, telling them how much she hated Haley. She said she’d never forgive Bill or Hayley for what they’d done. Nicole suggested her sister stop thinking about Bill Hayley. Anita agreed with Nicole, and she urged her daughter to stop obsessing. Dani vowed to make cheaters pay for blowing up her life.
New Beginnings Beyond The Gates
Meanwhile, new nurse Ashley (Jen Jacob) was treated to breakfast by her firefighter boyfriend, Derek (Ben Gavin), before she headed to her first day of work at Garland Memorial Hospital in Washington, D.C. She was so excited to start her work as a nurse, something she’d dreamed of her entire life.
Derek took Ashley to work and said he’d also pick her up. Ashley showed up on her first day at the hospital. Photographer Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman) showed up, and Ashley wondered what brought him home. He said he was there to shoot his aunt Nicole’s award biography, and he would do a fashion shoot with Chelsea.
Trading Favors
At Bill’s office, he complained to his assistant, Caroline ( for overscheduling him on his wedding week. At the same time, Hayley showed up at a home where Vanessa greeted her to give her the keys to her and Bill’s new home in Fairmont Crest. Vanessa asked what Hayley and Bill were thinking by buying a home in Dani’s community. She warned that the women inside the gates would freeze her out.
A man named Wayne walked in and asked Bill for help with his son, who was in serious trouble. He explained his son had broken into a home and stolen jewelry. He told Bill that Jerry and Diana Overton. Wayne asked Bill to represent his son, and Bill offered to make the whole thing go away. Bill made a phone call and got the charges dropped. Wayne wanted to pay, but Bill said he just owed him one.
Family Time
Martin (Brandon Claybon) met his granddad, Vernon (Clifton Davis) at the diner, Orphey Gene’s Soul Kitchen. Vernon was thrilled his Congressman grandson had taken the reigns while he enjoyed it from the sidelines. Vernon admitted he wanted more, but he didn’t know what more was just yet.
A constituent interrupted and introduced herself to Vernon. She thanked him for serving as a Senator. After she left, Vernon told Martin that small personal interactions were what won voters.
They joined Anita, Dani, and Nicole at the club. Nicole and Dani continued bickering over Bill and Hayley. Martin said he agreed with Anita and Nicole. Dani railed that she’d disappeared when she married Bill at age 19. She was furious that he broke their pact. Vernon told his daughter not to give Bill so much power over her. He got Dani to say she was the best and brightest and encouraged her to never forget it.
Chelsea and Kat were there, and Chelsea noted that her granddad was helping her mom. Kat wondered if Chelsea hated her dad, Bill. Chelsea said she hated what Bill had done. Naomi showed up, and they joined their family. Vanessa stopped by, and she told the family that Bill and Hayley had bought a home in Fairmont Estates. Dani couldn’t believe it, and she declared she was done being disrespected.
Welcome To Fairmont Crest
Bill called Hayley, and she told him the new house was great. Hayley was going to eat at the club. Hayley walked up to the bar, and Dani walked up and read her for filth in front of the whole club over buying a house in her neighborhood. Dani hauled off and punched Hayley in the face, and the Dupree family walked out together.
A woman (Karen Huger) at the bar turned and said, “Welcome to Fairmont Crest,” as Hayley held her cheek and looked sick.
