The Beyond The Gates recap for Thursday, February 27, reveals that Dani got her groove back with an unexpected man…Andre. Meanwhile, Laura learned she needed surgery, Naomi read Bill for filth, Bill surprised Hayley with a wedding celebration, and Mona agreed to give Eva a shot at filling in for Laura. It was a day filled with drama and intrigue in Fairmont Crest.
What Happened On Beyond The Gates?
Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) and Kat (Colby Muhammad) created a social media post before they talked about the shocking request from their grandparents. Of course, Chelsea noted how worried she was about Dani (Karla Mosley) and how she’d take her upset out on her.
Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli), Dani, and Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) had breakfast at the club. She couldn’t believe Anita (Tamara Tunie) asked her to go to Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) and Hayley’s (Marquita Goings) wedding. Nicole took the reins, and she explained that Dani wanted to be there for her daughters and that they would all support her. Hayley walked up, and Dani reluctantly agreed to talk.
Hayley wanted to know how she and Dani could coexist. She at least wanted to be civil. Dani declared she wouldn’t work to help Hayley feel comfortable but would actively work to make Hayley want to move.
Dani showed up at Chelsea’s photoshoot and instantly demanded Chelsea change her hair. Andre walked up and flattered Dani about her modeling past. Dani continued micromanaging Chelsea, and Chelsea hated how her job erased her.
Andre (Sean Freeman) suggested Dani sit out the photoshoot. He pointed out that Dani was sucking out all the fun, and she reluctantly saw his point. From there, the photoshoot went better. When it was over, Chelsea thanked Andrea, and Dani praised her.
Dani thanked Andre for turning things around. She invited him for a drink, and Andre agreed. Later, they shared a drink and Dani surprised him by going to the wedding, which surprised Andre. He came onto Dani, and she looked intrigued.
Andre complimented her modeling photos, calling her magnificent and sexy still. Dani agreed to dance with him, and they started kissing. That led to more compliments, and Dani appreciated the ego boost. She led him to the bedroom, and things progressed from there.
Dead To Me
Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) had a video chat with Ashley (Jen Jacob) about their evening plans when Bill walked up. She asked what he wanted, and he said respect. However, Naomi said she didn’t have any respect for him. She read him for filth for sleeping with her “best friend,” Hayley.
Bill said his shortcomings had nothing to do with his feelings about his daughters, but Naomi wasn’t interested in a relationship. She said her father was dead, and she said he was a cliche. Bill took no responsibility for flaunting Hayley in everybody’s face.

Surprise Party
Hayley showed up to work late, and Bill surprised her with a surprise wedding celebration. Bill talked with some of his work collegues, and then Hayley gave a toast praising Bill for “giving” her a life. They kissed as everybody cheered them. Bill thanked everybody for celebrating them, and Hayley agreed.
After everybody was gone, Hayley teased Bill about their wedding night. He wanted to get started early, but she insisted they spend the night apart. After all, she only planned to get married once. Bill gave Hayley a special new blue bracelet for their wedding day, covering the “something new” and “something blue.”

Solutions
Mona (Karan Kendrick) answered a call she thought was from Laura (Destiny Love), but it was Dana/”Leslie” (Trisha Mann) instead. She worried something awful had happened to Laura while Dana tried to brush it off. Nicole walked in, and Mona told her Laura wasn’t there. Ted called, and he told Nicole Laura was hurt in the hospital.
Ashley and Ted (Maurice Johnson) were in Laura’s room. Laura was upset she couldn’t go to Maui. Nicole came in, and Ted said he’d arrange for surgery for her fracture. Laura explained she was run off the road by a motorcycle. They thought the situation was attempted murder. Ted said he’d call Jacob.
Ashley tried to comfort Laura, who cried about how terrifying her crash had been. Ted and Nicole returned, and told Laura everything was taken care of, and she was grateful.
Mona called Dana to update her that Laura had been run off the road. Dana made all the right noises about Laura’s condition. Mona discussed hiring a new assistant for Nicole, and Dana suggested that Eva (Ambyr Michelle) fill in for Laura. That sounded great to Mona.
Real Talk
Kat and Naomi went out to celebrate a job well done. After a bit, Kat left Naomi, and a man came over to talk to her.
Meanwhile, Ashley, Derek (Ben Gavin), Naomi, and Jacob (Jibre Hordges) sat at a table together. She updated them on her job at the hospital. Naomi told them she’d seen Bill, and she said she’d hold him accountable to her last breath.
Ashley and Derek told Naomi that somebody ran Laura off the road. Naomi offered to represent Laura if they found the perpetrator. Ashley noted how eye-opening her first few days had been with real patients. She worried she’d made a mistake becoming a nurse, but they reassured her.
Jacob told them that he’d been assigned a partner, Marcel Malone. He was thrilled by the development. Ashley fell asleep on Derek’s shoulder. He took her back to her place and put her in bed. Ashley woke up, and Derek offered to leave, but Ashley had other ideas, so he hopped into bed with her.
Naomi wasn’t looking forward to the wedding, and she asked Jacob to stick close to her the next day. He promised to be there for her.
