A new Beyond the Gates promo teases big news for the rookie soap: Bryton James, from BTG’s sister soap, The Young and the Restless, is headed to the land of Fairmont Crest.

A promo that hit the soap stratosphere hinted at the BTG and Y&R crossover. It features the Articulettes’ comeback concert, a performance Anita (Tamara Tunie), Sharon (Bonita Brisker), and Tracy (Maria Howell) have been working towards for weeks. At the end of the teaser, Anita welcomes Devon Hamilton to the Fairmont Crest Country Club.

Fans posted the promo on social media. But the buzz quickly ramped up once BTG’s Dani Dupree herself, Karla Mosley, posted it on her socials. On Instagram, she excitedly wrote, “Articulette’s concert, more Dani drama (obvs), and a Devon Winters sighting in Fairmont Crest?!!!!!!!! This looks like a WEEK, y’all!”
In the promo, the voiceover starts with “Beyond the Gates. The escape is addictive. Anything can happen.” After shots of the Articulettes’ on-stage reunion, there are quick shots of some of the characters who could be experiencing drama this week, like Dani, Andre (Sea Freeman), Martin (Brandon Claybon), Tomas (Alex Alegria), and Eva (Ambyr Michelle). But the real surprise happens at the end when Vernon (Clifton Davis) and Anita welcome Devon Hamilton to the FCCC.
Yes, Y&R’s Bryton James (Devon) is headed to the DMV for a sit-down with the patriarch and matriarch of the Dupree family. What does Devon want? Does he want to tap into Winters’ vast music resources for Anita and the Articulettes?
