What You See Is What You Get
When Joey (Jon Lindstrom) told Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) he was looking for a house for his mother, the audience was supposed to assume that the casino owner was just using the real estate broker’s profession as a way to get a conversation going. In reality, he was trying to get his claws even deeper into her husband, Doug (Jason Graham). But what if Joey was telling the truth? He really does want to buy a home for his beloved mom. But here’s the problem…

Not In My Back Yard
Joey wants to buy his family a home in Fairmont Crest. Except Fairmont Crest is an exclusive community (that’s why they have gates, you know). They don’t let just anybody move in. Prospective owners have to be vetted and approved by the community board. Well, Joey knows nobody would ever approve a thug like him. And that means his mother won’t be able to live out her final, golden years in luxury. Is that fair? Is that fair, we ask you?
Favor For Favor
What if the only reason that Joey is fixating on Doug, in particular, is that Joey wants Doug to pressure his wife into making sure that Joey can buy the house he wants in Fairmont Crest and that there won’t be any problems about Joey and his mother moving in? He’s just a mama’s boy. Who’ll make sure Doug suffers if Joey can’t get what he wants… real estate-wise?
