It was crystal clear from the second Hayley (Marquita Goings) laid eyes on Lynette (Dominique Madison) in Bill’s (Timon Kyle Durrett) office that they had history. Although they covered in front of Bill, once Lynette left, Hayley ran to Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) for help.
Like Hayley, Lynette’s a con artist, and they used to work together. Randy warns Hayley that the timing of Lynette’s resurfacing means trouble for them unless Hayley gets a handle on Lynette.
After meeting with Randy, Hayley called Lynette to meet at Uptown. Things were tense from the moment Lynette arrived and referred to Hayley as Val, before the episode ended.

The walls seem to be closing in on Hayley. Not only has the con she’s been running on Bill taken longer than expected, but Lynette’s arrival could blow it up completely.
Since both Hayley and Lynette are con artists, Lynette might be there to pull her own con or squeeze Hayley for money. Whatever the reason for Lynette being in Fairmont Crest, one thing is certain. Hayley’s got a major problem on her hands.
Lynette has dirt on Hayley, which means the latter will need to either pay up or partner up. Either way, it means one more person has learned what Hayley’s really up to with Bill.
The Fallout
If Hayley doesn’t keep Lynette at bay, the entire con on Bill could go awry before anyone gets any money. Cash seems to be the motivating factor for Hayley, Randy, and Lynette, and if they aren’t careful, they will end up with nothing.
There’s a lot at stake for Randy and Hayley. They will no doubt go to great lengths to ensure they get paid. However, nothing about Lynette screams that she plans to make this easy for Hayley.
When push comes to shove, someone isn’t going to survive, and our bet is on Lynette. Hayley seems much more conniving than Lynette.
Then again, we don’t really know the truth about either of them, do we?
