Beyond the Gates‘ Andre refuses to step in front of the camera to model alongside his new wife, the timeless supermodel that is Dani Dupree. In the Tuesday, October 21 episode, Dani and Pamela tried really hard to get him to say yes to this Forrester Creations campaign. But Andre stood his ground. Is there a reason why he’s camera-shy?

The Modeling Gig
Pamela (Cady McClain) seems to think that she and Dani (Karla Mosley) can’t get their modeling agency off the ground without Dani having to relive and reenact her supermodel days. That’s a surefire way to attract attention for their business, and then they will be on their way.

Pamela also seems to think that Dani and Andre (Sean Freeman) combining their magic will help their business even further. And now Ridge Forrester (Bold and the Beautiful‘s Thorsten Kaye) of Forrester Creations seems to think so as well.
Enter Ridge Forrester
In Tuesday’s episode, Pamela relayed the news that Ridge wanted Dani and Andre for a fragrance line campaign. The campaign will capitalize on the notoriety that came with their very public wedding in Las Vegas. The one where the Anita Williams impersonator (Tamara Tunie) married them.
It turned out that Forrester Creations is Dani’s white whale. Apparently, back in the day, Forrester never hired Dani because she was overexposed. Sounds implausible and unrealistic, but it’s true. This is why she wants this Forrester gig so bad. She can finally add the company to her portfolio. And, honestly, Ridge is going to need to explain his decision not to hire Dani Dupree during her peak modeling era.
Rejection Central
Dani could tell Andre wasn’t into it. In fact, he was adamant about not doing it. But he wasn’t trying to stop Dani from saying yes. He encouraged her. He just wanted his part to be behind the scenes. Perhaps they could pitch him as the photographer, allowing them to still collaborate, just not in front of the camera.
This guy doth protest too much, and so it’s making us wonder if there’s an actual reason why he doesn’t want his face on magazine covers, billboards, ads, and so on. Maybe it’s not because he is an introvert. Maybe there’s something that he’s hiding from in his past. Or someone he doesn’t want to see.
Something is there, because according to Bill’s (Timon Kyle Durrett) private eye, public photos of Andre dried up starting a year ago. What happened then? This avoidance must be about something specific, because something seems off about his hesitation.
Who knows, Ridge may be able to persuade him to join the campaign. But if he can’t, then we need to get suspicious. There might be something out there that could come back to haunt Andre big time.
